Base Class: Sorcerer
Crystals have been used for eons as conductors of arcane energy. As such, they have been used in countless arcane experiments. Inevitably, some of those experiments have gone terribly wrong. One unfortunate side effect has been a virulent crystallization that infects the host and slowly spreads throughout their body. While this infection is certainly dangerous, it also allows the victim to channel incredible amounts of arcane energy using their own body as a focus. Those who choose to harness this quality are known as Crystalline Sorcerers.
Crystal Focus
1st-level Crystalline feature
The crystals growing on you are ideal for channeling arcane energy. You may use them in place of a spell casting focus.
Arcane Exertion
1st Level Crystalline feature
You may call upon the power of your affliction to fuel your Metamagic. You have a number of Exertion Points equal to your Constitution modifier. You may use these as sorcery points. If you use all the Exertion Points you have, gain one level of exhaustion. Exertion Points reset after a short or long rest.
Refracting Shield
6th-level Crystalline feature
As a bonus action, spend 3 sorcery points to gain temporary hit points equal to your level in this class as a shield. While the shield lasts, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Resonant Shards
14th-level Crystalline feature
The crystals that comprise your affliction resonate with themselves, even at a distance. As an action, you may spend 2 sorcery points to make a ranged spell attack against a target up to 60 feet away. On a hit, the target takes 3d10 piercing damage and has crystals shards imbedded in them. While these shards are imbedded, the target has disadvantage on saving throws against your spells. The shards remain until the target or another creature removes them as an action.
Crystallization
18th-level Crystalline feature
Spread your virulent crystal to your foes. You may use an action to cast flesh to stone, turning the target into a crystalline statue. After you use this feature you may not use it again until after a long rest, or unless you spend 6 sorcery points.
