Tools of the Trade

At 3rd level you gain proficiency with the herbalism kit and medicine checks, and you add your intelligence modifier to your medicine checks.

War Medic Spells

3rd-level Armorer feature

You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the War Medic Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Medical Professional

At 3rd level, the result of any healing spell or ability you use cannot be any less than your bonus to medicine checks and when you make a medicine check to stabilize a creature, on a success that creature instead regains hit points equal to half the result of the medicine check.

Triage

At 5th level, when an ally is below half health you can cast the Healing Word spell on them as a reaction using your bonus to medicine checks instead of your spellcasting modifier.

Forced Transfusion

At 9th level, when you make a melee attack you can us your bonus action to force your opponent to make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save the target takes necrotic damage equal to a number of d4 equal to your proficiency bonus and half as much on a successful save. The necrotic damage dealt can be added to your next healing.

This ability can be used twice per long rest.

Perfected Medicine

At 15th level, your general medical abilities improve, shown by the upgrades listed below.

  • You gain expertise in Medicine checks.
  • Your Forced Transfusion ability uses d8 instead of d4 and you add your bonus to Medicine checks to the healing and damage.
  • When you cast a healing spell you gain temp hit points equal to your Medicine bonus.
