Base Class: Ranger
A marksman approaches a target slowly and stealthily, then strikes suddenly and from a distance, remaining hidden to strike again. They stalk prey for long distances, waiting for the perfect opportunity to approach for a kill. They may use a gun or a bow, but they use both with great efficiency and accuracy.
Marksman Magic
Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Marksman Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of ranger spells you know.
Marksman Training
At 3rd level, your training as a marksman has taught you to stabilize your weapon before firing, to mark your target, and to strike from a hidden position. When you are prone, you do not have disadvantage on ranged attacks. When prone, you do have advantage on Dexterity (stealth) checks. In addition, the range of your hunter's mark spell is doubled. Any attack roll you make against a target you are hidden from is a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.
Spotter
Starting at 3rd level, you can cast find familiar as a ritual. Your familiar is specially trained to act as a spotter for you. When your familiar is within 100 feet of you, you gain the following benefits:
-When you make a Wisdom (perception) check, your spotter can use its reaction to give you advantage on the check.
-You can target a creature you cannot see with a spell or ranged attack if your spotter can see it and if it is within range of your spell or attack.
Alternate Position
Starting at 7th level, you have learned to quickly shift to a new firing position. You can take the Dash action as a bonus action.
Concealment
Starting at 11th level, you have mastered the art of blending into the terrain. When you are prone, you can try to hide when you are lightly obscured from the creature from which you are hiding. When you are hidden and make a ranged attack, making the attack does not reveal your position as long as you are lightly or heavily obscured and more than 30 feet away from the nearest enemy.
Trapping Shot
Starting at 15th level, when the target of your hunter's mark or a creature within 10 feet of that target moves, you can use your reaction to make a ranged attack against the moving creature.
