Base Class: Cleric
Many gods control life or death, many control the powers of healing or the gifts of entropy; some gods however, have dominion over both, exerting their power over not only the living and dead but their bodies and the blood within them. These deities often strive for balance between life and death through the physical anchor of the soul, blood; using it as a binding for the soul and body, allowing their followers to tap into this power for many purposes; healing their allies, empoering their bodies or even, bending the wills of their enemies.

Whenever you take damage, your barrier takes the damage instead. If this damage reduces the barrier to 0 hit points, you take any remaining damage.

Channel Divinity: Vampiric Smite
2nd-level Blood Domain feature
You can use your Channel Divinity to cripple your deities enemies, and drinking of their life force to restore what is lost.
When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you may expend your Channel Divinity and drain it of life force. The creature takes an extra 3d8 necrotic damage, and you regain hit points equal to half the amount of necrotic damage dealt by the attack. You can’t use this feature on a creature that does not have blood.
Crimson Sanguination

You gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with enervating divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 necrotic damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
