Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Rhythm are devoted to encouraging others to excel at the things they attempt, using the consistency of their own music to inspire the people around them to be similarly reliable. Examples of bards from this college include folk singers who utilize call and response, shantymen who emphasize a certain pattern of beats, and drummers who use an energetic pace. In modern or futuristic settings, a bard from this college could use electronic or dubstep music, as they also have strong rhythms.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Rhythm at 3rd level, you are familiar with the tools of workers. You gain proficiency with shields, and can use a shield you are holding as a spellcasting focus. You also gain proficiency with either War Picks and Warhammers, or Artisan’s tools and another tool proficiency of your choice. In addition, you gain proficiency in Athletics. If you already have proficiency in Athletics, you can instead choose to double your proficiency bonus for Athletics.
Steady Tempo
Also at 3rd level, you learn to ground others through the consistency of your music. When a creature makes an ability check or an attack roll, it can choose to use your Bardic Inspiration to add your spellcasting ability modifier to the roll instead of adding your Bardic Inspiration dice.
Amplifying Pulse
At 6th level, when you cast a spell that targets only one creature and doesn't have a range of self, you can expend up to half your proficiency bonus (rounded up) of uses of Bardic Inspiration to target that number of additional friendly creatures in range with the same spell. To be eligible for Amplifying Pulse, a spell must be incapable of targeting more than one creature at the spell's current level.
Emphatic Build-Up
Also at 6th level, you learn the spells Haste and Enhance Ability, which are considered bard spells for you, but do not count against the number of spells known. You can cast each of these spells without expending a spell slot. Once you cast either of these spells in this way, you can’t cast that spell in this way again until you finish a long rest.
Resonating Beat
At 14th level, you learn to extend your influence to many allies. As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to inspire multiple allies. When you do so, choose a number of creatures up to or equal to your proficiency bonus within 60 feet of you that can hear you. Each chosen creature gains one Bardic Inspiration die.
Once you use this feature twice, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
