Base Class: Monk
FateWeaver monks have made it their mission to study and protect the sacred flow of fate. The Way of the FateWeaver grants a path to the power of fate itself. Tapping into the flow of fate, these monks have the ability to gain insight into things yet to come, the actions of their enemies, and even the ability to bend fate itself. A FateWeaver monk is a force to be reckoned with, for what defense is there against someone who can bend the very will of fate?
Fateful Insight
Starting at 3rd level, you can channel your connection to fate and gain an insight into the near fate of your opponents in battle. When you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can catch a glimpse of the threads that connect this creature to fate itself. Whenever a glimpsed creature misses you with an attack, you can immediately use your reaction to make an unarmed strike against that creature if it’s within your reach. Once per this creature's turn, when it hits you with an attack, you may roll your monk die. Add the total to your AC, if the attack would no longer hit, you take no damage and the creature misses. This benefit lasts until you finish a short or long rest.
Additionally, when you gain this insight your next attack on the creature has advantage.
Bend Fate
Starting at 6th level, you can bend the flow of fate around you. When you miss a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 ki point to instead hit the creature. Additionally the creature must make a wisdom saving throw, on a failed save they have disadvantage on attacks and saving throws for 1 minute.
FateWeaver's Fortitude
By 6th level you have begun to grow your skills in the mastery of fate. Once per day you may use an action to bend fate and regain health that was lost to you. When you use this ability, you regain your constitution modifier + your monk level of hp. You may continue to use this past the allotted action at the expense of your ki points (one per use of this ability).
Additionally you gain proficiency in all wisdom based skills if you do not already have it, and you gain double proficiency in the Insight skill.
Fated Action
Starting at 11th level, you’ve honed your awareness of the flow of fate around you. Once per turn, you may spend 1 ki point to look into the weave and search for an extra opportunity to act, giving you an additional action on your turn.
Aid of the Fates
At 11th level your mastery of fate has become such that you may aid even your allies through your sight of what could be. When you and an ally are both within melee range of an enemy, your presence grants you both advantage on melee attacks regardless of whether or not you are flanking. Additionally as a reaction, when an ally within 30 feet of you misses with an attack, you may spend a ki point to allow them to roll again for a chance to hit.
FateWeaver's Will
At 17th level your mastery of fate is nearly complete. As such fate itself bends to your will. You may spend three ki points as a reaction, to cause an action that has taken place within the past minute to disappear from the weave. The effect of this action is removed from reality and the flow of fate continues as if it never happened, because it never did. If this action was a spell the caster must make a wisdom saving throw against 10 + your proficiency + your monk die. If they fail the action is erased from fate, if they succeed, your ki points are expended but the action stands as before.
Mastery of Fate
At 20th level, your mastery of fate is complete. You are one with the flow of fate, as such it bends to your will. The weave of fate effects all things, and by proxy so do you. Once per day, you may spend an hour to meditate on the flow of fate. Doing so creates an aura around you with a 30 foot radius. You, and any allies within your aura have advantage on all attacks and saving throws made. All attacks made against you or an ally within this aura are made at disadvantage. You and any ally within this aura gain temporary hit points equal to 20 + your monk die these reset at the top of each round. This effect lasts until you take a short or long rest. Additionally when you partake in this meditation you regain all ki points.
