Druid
Base Class: Druid

Not quite a lycanthrope, not quite a barbarian, Primal Circle Druids harness anger to fuel their powers.

Primal Wild Shape

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain the ability to Primal Wild Shape.

Once per long rest, you can expend 2 Wild Shape charges to activate this ability as a bonus action.

Instead of selecting a creature to transform into, you roll a D20 to determine your wild shape. Your DM case use the tables below to determine your shape. Alternatively, at each level, you can assign a creature with the applicable CR to each dice roll. The creatures in the wild shape table are not restricted from flying or swimming. You are unable to drop your wild shape for 1 minute.

Bestial Roar

Starting at 6th level, as a bonus action, you can unleash a terrifying roar.

This ability can be used in and out of wild shape.

Any creature within 30 feet must succeed a DC13 CON Saving Throw. Any creature who fails, becomes frightened for 1D8 turns. If the creature rolls a natural 1 on their saving throw, they are paralyzed instead.

You gain advantage on intimidation checks against enemies who fail the saving throw.

The effects of this ability end early if you enter or exit wild shape.

This ability can be used twice per short rest.

Primal Wild Rage

The rites of your circle grant you the ability to rage while transforming Starting at 2nd level, when you Primal Wild Shape, you are forced into a state of rage.

While raging, you gain the following benefit:

  • You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
  • When you make a melee weapon attack using Strength, you gain a bonus to the damage roll that increases as you gain levels as a druid, as shown in the Rage Damage column of the Barbarian table.
  • You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

If you are able to cast spells, you can’t cast them or concentrate on them while raging.

Your rage lasts for 1 minute. It only ends early if you are knocked out of your wild shape.

Primal Awakening

Through countless transformations, you begin to be able to take control of your Wild Shape. You can add your WIS modifier to your Wild Shape Roll.

Additionally, you only need to expend 1 Wild Shape use when using Primal Wild Shape. The amount of Primal Wild Shape uses is equal to the number of Wild Shape uses.

Primal Roar

At 12th level, you gain two additional bestial roar charges.

Additionally, when raging, all creatures making the DC13 WIS saving throw do so at disadvantage.

Creatures frightened or paralyzed are under these effects for 2D8.

Creatures frightened or paralyzed by your roar while you are raging keep their effects if you change shape.
