Monk
Base Class: Monk

Practitioners of the Way of Love channel their ki inwards to empower their emotions, and outwards to strike at their enemy’s. The strength of a Way of Love monk comes from the strength of their passion.

Bonus Proficiencies

You gain proficiency in Persuasion, and when making an ability check with your Charisma modifier, you can spend a ki point to add a bonus equal to a roll of your martial arts die.

Passionate Strikes

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to infuse your emotions into your attacks. When making an unarmed attack against an opponent you can spend 1 ki point to inflict additional psychic (emotional) damage equal to one roll of your martial arts die.

Additionally, you may choose to use your Charisma modifier instead of Strength or Dexterity when attacking with unarmed strikes.

Enamouring Touch

At 6th level, you gain resistance to psychic damage as your control over your emotions has improved.

Additionally, as an action you may touch a creature and spend 2 ki points to attempt to charm them. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you for 10 minutes. A creature who is hostile towards you has advantage on this saving throw.

Flurry of Passion

At 11th level, you can mete out your passion at a rapid pace. When you use your Flurry of Blows you can add the bonus damage from Passionate Strikes without needing to spend additional ki points.

Additionally you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed as your mastery of charm extends to your own senses.

Heartbreak

At 17th level, you gain the ability to set up lethal vibrations in someone’s soul. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike you can spend 3 ki points to set up these imperceptible vibrations that last a number of days equal to your monk level. The vibrations are harmless unless you use your action to end them. To do so you and the creature must be on the same plane of existence. When you use this feature the creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. If it fails it is reduced to 0 hit points. If it succeeds it takes 10d10 psychic (emotional) damage.

You can only affect one target with this feature at a time. You can end the vibrations harmlessly without using an action.
