Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Your ties to the living beings of the plane bolster your strength and resolve. Nature channels itself through you, allowing you to cast spells to bolster your your strength as you unleash your rage against those that would desecrate it.

Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the druid spell list. You are able to cast these spells and maintain concentration on them while raging.

Cantrips
You learn two cantrips from the druid spell list. You learn another druid cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots
The Path of the Shaman Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your druid spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell fog cloud and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast fog cloud using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher
You know three 1st-level druid spells of your choice on the druid spell list.

The Spells Known column of the Path of the Shaman Spellcasting table shows when you learn more druid spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the druid spells you know with another spell of your choice from the druid spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability
Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your druid spells, since your magic draws upon your devotion and attunement to nature. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a druid spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Reckless Casting

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to throw caution to the wind and expedite the casting of your druid spells. Whenever you cast a druid spell with a casting time of 1 action, you can instead change the casting time to 1 bonus action for this casting. Doing so causes attack rolls against you to have advantage until your next turn, and cannot be used on the same turn as Reckless Attack.

Force of the Wilds

Beginning at 6th level, your fearsome strikes embolden your spells. Whenever a creature you hit this turn makes a saving throw against one of your spells, it must roll a d4 and subtract the number from it's saving throw.

Ward of Thorns

Beginning at 10th level, nature lashes out at those who would cast magics upon you. Whenever you succeed on a saving throw from a magical effect imposed by another creature, you may expend one spell slot and deal force damage equal to 1d8 per level of the spell slot expended to the creature.

Reclaimed by Nature

Starting at 14th level, you gain the ability to draw strength from slain foes. Whenever you reduce a hostile creature of CR 1 or higher to 0 hit points, You can use a reaction to gain one of the following benefits:

- Roll a d3. You regain one expended spell slot, the level of which equals the number rolled or lower.
- Gain temporary hit points equal to thrice your wisdom modifier. They vanish 1 minute after combat ends.

You can take this reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
