Base Class: Barbarian
Earth elemental themed barb.
Stony Fortitude
When you rage you take on a more primordial appearance. You may decide the specifics but the changes must be related to the earth element (Stone, Crystal, Gem, etc.).
Regardless these changes provide you with resistance to, and advantage on saving throws against, poison while raging.
Aegis of Stone
As a reaction, when you or an ally within 30 ft is hit by an attack and both the Barbarian and recipient are within 5 ft of natural earth or stone, you can summon forth a momentary stone blockade giving the beneficiary a bonus to their AC equal to your Constitution modifier possibly negating the attack. If the attack still hits, the beneficiary receives resistance to the damage as the blockage takes the brunt of the hit.
You may use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier and regain all uses after a short or long rest.
Earthen Command
Your connection to and control of the earth improves. While raging you can move across difficult terrain made of earth or stone without expending extra movement and you gain tremorsense out to 15 ft.
In addition you gain the Mold Earth cantrip and a new way to use it, you can create a more long term version of your Aegis of Stone. When used you create a wall of stone 5 ft tall, 5 ft wide, and an inch thick. The wall provides cover and prevents movement through it’s space. It has an AC of 15 with 20 hit points for every inch of thickness. It also has resistance to slashing and piercing damage with vulnerability to bludgeoning damage. Creating a new wall in a space already occupied by one destroys the original. The wall is unable to move/lift anything heavy (GM’s decision) and if it would cause a creature to be trapped it can make a dex save (DC= 8+con+prof) to move 5ft in a direction of its choice. You may also cast Mold Earth while raging
at 10th level you can choose to create an extra wall or add an inch to your wall’s thickness. You can make 2 choices at 14th level (1 3 inch wall, 2 2 inch walls, or 3 1 inch walls)
Avatar of Stone
You take on a stony appearance while raging marking a temporary shift from your mortal form to that of an elemental. While raging you gain the following:
you are considered a elemental instead of your current type (typically humanoid)
you get advantage on saves against mind effecting abilities
Your tremorsense while raging improves to 30 feet and you retain 10 feet even when not raging
the ground around you shakes and shifts slowing hostile creatures. Any hostile creature within 10 feet moves as if in difficult terrain. (Must be on earth or stone)
you can launch hunks of stone at enemies. You can replace any number of attacks with a launched stone. They have a range on 30/60 and deal 2d8 magical bludgeoning damage. (stone or earth must be within 30 feet of you). The attack uses your Con modifier instead of str or dex.
Earth’s Fury
You can momentarily channel the earths strength allowing you to create effects as if you had cast Wall of Stone or Bones of the Earth. In game terms you can cast one of these spells, even while raging, once per long rest without any components (V, S, or M) and you don’t need to concentrate on wall of stone
