Grail Knight

Centuries, more than a lifetime,

Under way for the quest of the Grail!

A mighty knight, ever in search of the fabled Holy Grail, a religious item believed to hold the power of gods. Trained in the way of the sword and the art of healing magic, they have one goal, to find and protect the Grail.

Prayer

As a bonus action, you may take out your holy symbol and pray to your god, raising your damage by +2 until the next time you attack. This is only usable AFTER performing an action.

Holy Spells

The legends of the Grail often involve an injured man who must be healed in order to obtain the Grail. As such, it is a necessity for Grail Knights to know how to heal. Of course, there are other spells viewed as holy that Grail Knights typically use.

Proficiencies of the Grail

Being a Grail Knight grants you certain proficiencies.

Aura of Glory

Starting at the 7th level, you radiate an aura, granting resistance to necrotic damage to any creature within 5 feet of you.

At the 15th level, you will heal 2d4 health every time you are hit with an attack that does necrotic damage.

Power of the Grail

Commune with your god and the Grail itself to obtain their power and force it into one cathartic strike that deals radiant, physical, and thunder damage. This attack takes one turn to charge up, in which you can't do any bonus actions, as well as another turn to perform the attack itself. After the attack, any enemies attacking you gain advantage on rolls to hit.

Glorious Defense

You are trained to protect the Grail, and that training can apply to protect other things as well. You gain advantage on saving throws and attacks when you are defending something. For example, if you are defending a town from a ravaging band of orcs, or if you escorting someone through a battle.

Unending Faith

Your god has recognized your faith, and bestows its power into you, allowing you to use Mighty Strike of Catharsis every short rest instead of every long rest.
