Base Class: Barbarian
For some barbarians, rage is a means to an end—that end being violence. The Path of the Berserker is a path of untrammeled fury, slick with blood. As you enter the berserker’s rage, you thrill in the chaos of battle, heedless of your own health or well-being.
Frenzy
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can choose to go into a frenzy when you rage. If you do so, for the duration of your rage you can make a single melee weapon attack as a bonus action on each of your turns after this one.
Immediately after your rage ends, you gain one level of exhaustion.
Unyielding Endurance
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can recover from physical stress at an accelerated rate. While you are raging, you ignore all penalties from exhaustion until your rage ends. Additionally, when you take a short rest, you can remove a level of exhaustion by expending a number of hit die equal to your exhaustion level.
For example, if you have two levels of exhaustion, you must expend two hit die to reduce your exhaustion to one, and then one additional hit die to remove exhaustion entirely.
Mindless Rage
Beginning at 6th level, you can’t be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is ended immediately.
Intimidating Presence
Starting at 10th level, as part of the bonus action you take to enter a frenzied rage, you can choose a number of creatures you can see equal to your proficiency bonus within 30 feet of you to intimidate. Creatures who cannot see you are immune to this effect. Those creatures must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or become frightened of you for 1 minute or until your rage ends. Creatures who cannot see you are immune to this effect. The creature can repeat its saving throw at the end of its turn, ending the effect on a success. If you are within 5 feet of a targeted creature when you use this ability, it makes this saving throw with disadvantage.
Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.
Retaliation
Starting at 14th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature. Additionally, creatures provoke an opportunity attack from you even if they take the disengage before leaving your reach.
