Symbiotic Nature

You are very vulnerable without a host, when you gain a host and stay with it for 5 days, you take its racial traits as your own. When you acquire a new host for 5 days you lose your old hosts racial traits. When you reach 11th-level adaptation, you can take up to 5 of your old hosts racial trait with you. When you reach 20th-level We are, You can take all your past hosts racial traits with you into your new host.

Without a host you are vulnerable to fire and thunder damage and take 1d12 damage each minute and are unable to fight back.
With a host you take damage and healing equally. (The host can be a player or a NPC. You have full control over a NPC but a player character controls movement unless they are unconscious or gets incapacitated). After reaching 6th-level Symbiotic Cloak,  you will be forced into your Symbiotic Cloak if your host is unconscious or incapacitated. When the host dies you are forced to leave the body.

Symbiote Tendrils

3rd-level Way of the Symbiote feature

As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to manifest tendrils all over the hosts body. When you do so, each creature of your choice that you can see within 10 feet of you must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take force damage equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die.

For 10 minutes, these tendrils flail around, and they vanish early if you are incapacitated or die. While the tendrils are present, you gain the following benefits:

  • You can use your Wisdom modifier in place of your Strength modifier when making Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
  • You can use the tendrils to make unarmed strikes.
  • When you make an unarmed strike with the tendrils on your turn, your reach for it is 5 feet greater than normal.
  • The unarmed strikes you make with the tendrils can use your Wisdom modifier in place of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls, and their damage type is force.
  • As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to try and pull a creature from 30 feet away towards you.

Symbiotic Cloak

6th-level Way of the Symbiote feature

When you have your Symbiote Tendrils summoned, you can cover the hosts body in a Symbiotic Cloak (no action required). This cloak covers the physical form like a suit of armor, connecting with the tendrils, You determine its appearance.

In Symbiotic cloak form, you are vulnerability to fire and thunder damage (your host doesn't), but gain the following benefits.

Energy Absorption. When you take damage you can use your reaction and spend a ki point to absorb it. When you do so, the damage you take is reduced by 1d10 + your Wisdom modifier (minimum reduction of 1).

Empowered Tendrils. Once on each of your turns when you hit a target with the Symbiote Tendrils, you can deal extra damage to the target equal to your Martial Arts die and heal that amount.

Adaptation

11th-level Way of the Symbiote feature

In your cloaked form you are now able to adapt to your environment and host, you can take up to 5 of your old hosts racial trait with you. you gain the following additional benefits.

  • Your armor class increases by 2.
  • Gain a swimming and climbing speed, and no long need to breath air.

Perfect Symbiosis

17th-level Way of the Symbiote feature

You have become perfectly in sync with your host, allowing you to unleash its full potential. As a bonus action, you can spend 5 ki points to summon your tendrils and cloak and unleash there full potential for 10 minutes. This ends early if you are incapacitated or die.

While in perfect symbiosis, you gain the following benefits.

  • you gain resistance to slashing, bludgeoning, and piercing damage.
  • Your speed doubles and you gain an additional action on your turn.

We Are

20th-level Way of the Symbiote

You and the host have become so attached that you no longer are burdened with your old shortcomings.

  • When you switch to a new host for 5 days you no longer have to pick between racial traits as you add all your new hosts racial traits to your collection (With duplicate traits you take the better version).
  • You no longer have a time limit (10min) for your Symbiote Tendrils and Symbiotic Cloak.
  • You no longer have vulnerability to thunder and fire damage
