Base Class: Druid
While many druids help along and guide the flow of nature, you allow the flow of nature to control you. Water is not a force that can be controlled; it cannot be contained, and Circle of the Flood druids understand this. Their only goal is to merely allow the flow of water to take its course, uninterrupted by any other hand.
Shape Water Cantrip
2nd level Circle feature
You learn Shape Water druid cantrip. This cantrip doesn’t count against the number of druid cantrips you know.
Aquatic Nature
2nd level Circle feature
You gain a swim speed of 30ft, and can breathe, move and see underwater regularly.
Flooded Form
2nd level Circle feature
Starting at 2nd level, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape to become like water, gaining attributes that protect you from damage and add to your mobility. When in this form, you gain the following features:
- You can fit through any gap that is at most one inch wide
- Your swim speed is doubled
- You gain resistance to cold and fire damage
- As an action while submerged in water, you may disappear and reappear within the same body of water a maximum of 90ft away
- Your AC gains a +1 bonus
Circle Spells
3rd level Circle feature
Your mystical connection to water infuses you with the ability to cast certain spells. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to circle spells connected to your aquatic nature.
Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

- The creature can breathe underwater
- The creature gains a swim speed equal to their walking speed, minimum of 30ft
- The creature gains resistance to Cold damage
Additionally, you permanently gain resistance to Cold damage.

Torrential Waters
14th level Circle feature
Whenever you cast one of your subclass specific spells or a spell dealing Cold, Acid or Poison damage, you may expend a use of your Wild Shape to gain one of the following affects:
- Any creature affected by the spell must make a Wisdom saving throw against your Spell DC +2. On a fail, that creature's movement is reduced to 0ft until the end of your next turn as they are encased in a layer of frost, they automatically fail all Dexterity checks and saving throws, and they take either Acid, Cold or Poison damage equal to 2d8+Wis. On a successful save, the creature's speed is halved and they take half as much damage.
- Choose an amount of creatures equal to half your proficiency bonus, minimum of one; the effects of your spell are doubled on those creatures (damage, knockback, etc.)
- All affected creatures must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Spell DC +2. On a fail, they are knocked prone and must use their full movement to stand up.
