Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

As old as man, the tradition of dance has not only survived, but integrated itself into the very nature of mortals.

Fighters that dance in this way have trained their bodies to feel the rhythm of battle and combine deadly technique with graceful movement.

It Takes Two

At 3rd level, your dancing works best a partner.

You gain proficiency in the Performance skill, and you can choose to use your Dexterity modifier for skill checks that require it. Moreover, when you make a Performance check with another creature, you both can add your Dexterity modifier to the roll.

War Dance

Also at 3rd level, you can whip yourself into a rhythmic dance that compliments the use of light and fast weapons.

As a bonus action, you can activate a War Dance, which lasts for 1 minute. While active, you gain the following benefits:

  • Light weapons you wield have their damage dice increase by 1 size (for example, 1d4 becomes 1d6).
  • You gain a bonus to your AC equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounding down).
  • Your movement speed increases by 10 ft.

You can dance in this way a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus, and regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Coercion in Motion

At 7th level, your way of subtle movements helps shape a conversation.

You can use your Dexterity modifier in place of your Charisma modifier when making any Charisma-based skill check, not just Performance.

Feverish Inspiration

At 10th level, your dancing can spur on your allies with an intense fervor.

When you use your Second Wind feature, you can choose to perform a dance for a willing ally within 5 ft. of you. On your ally's next turn, they gain an additional Action, which can be used to take the Attack, Dash, Disengage, Hide, or [Tooltip Not Found] actions. If the target takes the Attack action, they can only make one weapon attack with this extra action.

If the target ends their turn without using this extra action, they lose the benefits of this feature.

Dervish

At 15th level, you can swirl and dance with the fury of a bladed top.

While you are performing a War Dance, you gain additional benefits:

  • You have advantage on the first attack roll you make against each creature you attack on your turn.
  • Creatures you have hit with a weapon attack cannot make opportunity attacks against you for the duration of your turn.

Dancing Savant

At 18th level, your steps are nothing more than a blur to the untrained eye.

While you are performing your War Dance, you are under the effects of the Haste spell, without suffering from the lethargy imposed by the spell.
