Base Class: Monk
In the Rainbowside Mountains, there is a tribe of kakarian (monkeyfolk) who diligently practice monastic arts and traditions. Tirelessly, they perfect the sacred techniques they purloined from the divine. With scrolls of stolen celestial texts in hand, they accent their training with the whimsy of a free primate’s spirit.
The Way of Qīpiàn educates its pupils on the matters of celestial creatures, and how to harness their divine energy through the utilization of ki. In particular, how to do this with the indented use of trickery and mischief, much like the primitive founders of this sacred tradition.
Ancient Tuition
Beginning at 3rd Level, the time has come to open your horizons, and you have learned many things in regards to celestials and such creatures. You can speak, read, and write in Celestial. Additionally, you have advantage on all Wisdom (Religion) checks to recall information about celestial creatures.
Enthralling Strike
At 3rd Level, you have harnessed your Ki into a technique leaving your foes starstruck. As part of an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 Ki point to change the damage type to psychic and impose a Wisdom Saving Throw against your Ki Save DC to the target creature. On a failure, the creature is charmed by you until the end of your next turn.
Trickster’s Talents
At 6th Level, your monastic practice has taken you along a strange journey to master arts of deceit and trickery. You can now take the hide action as a bonus action.
Additionally, you learn the Minor Illusion cantrip, and you can spend 2 Ki points as an action to cast the following spells: Alter Self, Charm Person, Invisibility, Mirror Image and Silent Image.
Art of 72 Shapes
At 11th Level, your study into the Guijì arts has laid bare to you a most coveted secret. You can now spend 4 Ki points to cast the Polymorph spell, targeting only yourself. When doing so, you may only turn into beasts of a challenge rating 1/3 of your monk class levels (rounded up).
Immortality
At 17th Level, you have combined your earned knowledge of the divine and your continued practice of trickery into such a devious technique that it permits you the chance to cheat death itself. You no longer age, and cannot be unwillingly targeted by effects that transmute your form. Additionally, all effects that kill outright only drop you to 0 hit points.
Lastly, if you start your turn at 0 hit points, you can spend 3 Ki points before rolling that turn’s Death Saving Throw to gain advantage on the roll.
