Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Raven Knights of Castle Ravenboldt were formed long ago as a special rank of knight to protect the castle from any and all intrusion. Eventually, after decades of practice, the Raven Knights had a strange fighting style, unpredictable in nature, that set them apart from other kingdoms who would try and contest them. With a savage weapon in hand, their style was brutal and cutthroat, always going for any vulnerable points that could be found, and working with groups of their comrades to stamp foes into oblivion. This fighting style is harkened to the tactics of Ravens, who waste no time with strategies that are ineffective, cooperating with allies... and attacking with the winged ferocity of a pinned bird. This art has been passed down by oral tradition, sworn to spread the technique across as many stretches of planar soil as they can. Raven Knights, even without any ties to the withstanding Castle Ravenloft, stand with honor and tradition, many swearing themselves to lords and kingdoms all across the world.

Raven Style Technique

Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain the technique needed to use Raven Style, the main thing that sets apart the Raven Knight. You gain 2 Raven Style fighting options at 3rd level, and then one more each time you gain a new feature in this class. You decide your Raven Style technique ability at the end of a short or long rest, or you can change it by taking an action to focus your mind to a different technique.

Raven Style Techniques gained at 3rd Level-

Echoing Blade- You focus your style to form an energized copy of your weapon when you take your attacks. After you take the attack action on your turn using a melee weapon attack, you can use your bonus action to deal an extra 1d8 psychic damage to any creatures you managed to hit with your attacks on that turn.

Weaving Arrow- You focus your style to make your arrows wind back to you when you've shot them. After you take the attack action on your turn using a ranged weapon attack, you can use your bonus action to make a second attack with any of the arrows you hit with on that turn against the same target they originally struck, and then return the arrows to you. This only works if the arrows weren't destroyed upon hitting their target. The arrows return to you regardless if the second attack hits or not.

Wings of the Raven

Starting at 7th level, you gain the skill and finesse to use the Wings of the Raven, a style of movement that aims to mimic a bird in flight. If you move your entire walking speed on your turn, you can choose to take the dodge action as a free action. This effect only occurs if you are not statused, and if you have not received any penalties to your movement speed.

Additionally, you get a new Raven Style technique ability that you can use.

Desperation of the Cornered Raven- You gain the uncanny ability to strike with vicious technique when you're under attack. If you are within 5 feet of a hostile creature that you can see, you have a +2 to attack and damage rolls against that creature.

Jack of all Blades

At 10th level, you can change your fighting techniques on the fly, and work to secure opportunities where you couldn't get them before. You can use your strength when attacking with ranged weapons, and your dexterity when attacking with any weapon, even ones without the finesse property, allowing you to get the most potential out of any weapon.

Additionally, you get a new Raven Style technique ability that you can use.

Cooperative Attack- You gain the ability to strike while your allies assist you, gaining extra benefits when your allies are close. When you attack a creature that one of your allies damaged on their last turn, you have advantage.

Strike of the Wind Warrior

Starting at 15th level, your techniques have become honed to a complete and solid point of strength, allowing you to use the Strike of the Wind Warrior, an attack mastered by Raven Knights nearing the peak of their power. Once per short or long rest, you can perform a Strike of the Wind Warrior with any weapon of your choice, making a standard attack roll, which replaces one of your attacks on your turn. On a hit, the damage dice of the attack are doubled, and you push the targeted creature back 15 feet.

Additionally, you get a new Raven Style technique ability that you can use.

Longevity of the True Warrior- You gain the resolve needed to be an indomitable force against your foes, stemming from your true honor. At the end of each of your turns, you can use a bonus action to gain resistance to one type of damage of your choice. This damage type can be changed by using another bonus action on any subsequent turn.

Raven Lord

At 18th level, you attain the title of the highest Raven Knight, the Raven Lord, who are the true masters of the Raven Style technique, and are paragons of valor, power, and fighting skill. You can have two Raven Style technique abilities activated at once, picking two to choose from at the end of a short or long rest. When using an action to change your style, you can only change one of these styles, and must use another action to change the other.
