Base Class: Monk
Monks who follow the Way of the Slayer tend to be less Lawful than their colleagues who follow other, calmer paths. Their keen eye for weaknesses and their ability to exploit them come from years of training and study of what to look for, and how to best get to those points.
Slayer's Ire
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain the ability to hone in your focus on a single target.
As a bonus action, you may spend one ki point to mark a target within 90 feet of you for 1 minute. You deal an extra 1d6 damage on any attack that hits a marked target. If the marked target is your favored enemy, this damage increases to 1d8. If you land the killing blow on a marked target, you regain 1 ki point.
The number of dice associated with this trait increases as you gain levels in this subclass. At 6th level, use 2 dice. At 11th level, use 3 dice. At 17th level, use 4 dice.
Favored Enemy
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to a certain type of enemy.
Choose a type of favored enemy: aberrations, beasts, celestials, constructs, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, giants, monstrosities, oozes, plants, or undead. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to track your favored enemies, as well as on Intelligence checks to recall information about them.
When you gain this feature, you also learn one language of your choice that is spoken by your favored enemies, if they speak one at all.
Abberations
You have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to Aberrations. You have Advantage on wisdom (Survival) checks to track Aberrations, you have advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Aberrations, and you learn to speak and understand Deep Speech.
Beasts
You have significant experience studying, tracking, and hunting beasts. You gain advantage on all Wisdom (Survival) checks to track Beasts, and you gain advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Beasts.
Celestials
You have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to Celestials. You have Advantage on wisdom (Survival) checks to track Celestials, you have advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Celestials, and you learn to speak and understand Celestial.
Constructs
You have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to Constructs. You have advantage on wisdom (Survival) checks to track Constructs, and you have advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Constructs.
Dragons
You have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to Dragons. You have Advantage on wisdom (Survival) checks to track Dragons, you have advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Dragons, and you learn to speak and understand Draconic.
Elementals
You have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to Elementals. You have Advantage on wisdom (Survival) checks to track Elementals, you have advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Elementals, and you learn to speak and understand the four Elemental languages of Aquan, Auran, Ignan, and Terran.
Fey
You have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to Fey. You have Advantage on wisdom (Survival) checks to track Fey, you have advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Fey, and you learn to speak and understand Sylvan.
Fiends
You have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to Fiends. You have Advantage on wisdom (Survival) checks to track Fiends, you have advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Fiends, and you learn to speak and understand the languages of Abyssal and Infernal.
Giants
You have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to Giants. You have Advantage on wisdom (Survival) checks to track Giants, you have advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Giants, and you learn to speak and understand Giant.
Monstrosities
You have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to Monstrosities. You have Advantage on wisdom (Survival) checks to track Monstrosities, you have advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Monstrosities, and you are able to understand anything a Monstrosity says in any language.
Oozes
You have significant experience studying, tracking, and hunting Oozes. You gain advantage on all Wisdom (Survival) checks to track Oozes, and you gain advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Oozes.
Plants
You have significant experience studying, tracking, and hunting Plants. You gain advantage on all Wisdom (Survival) checks to track Plants, and you gain advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Plants.
Undead
You have significant experience studying, tracking, and hunting Undead. You gain advantage on all Wisdom (Survival) checks to track Undead, and you gain advantage on all Intelligence checks to recall information about Undead.
Slayer's Eye
At 6th level, you can use your ki to learn about your enemy.
As a bonus action, you may spend a ki point to observe one creature within 30 feet of you. In doing so, you are able to learn any damage and condition weakness, resistance, and immunities the creature has. Furthermore, your next attack on the observed creature has advantage.
Slayer's Step
At 11th level, your attacks have unnatural power and speed. When you use your flurry of blows, you gain 10 feet of movement and any creatures you hit this turn cannot make attacks of opportunity against you.
Roar of the Slayer
At 17th level, you become a true force to be reckoned with.
All creatures that fit your favored enemy trait within 90 feet of you are considered marked by the Slayer's Ire trait.
Additionally, you may draw on the ki of creatures marked by your Slayer's Ire before they are slain. Once per turn, you may end the Slayer's Ire mark on one creature, and gain one ki point. You may do this up to a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1). All expended uses are regained at the end of a long rest.
