Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Cursed Hand found themself facing an ancient powerful folk once, and once was enough. This powerful being looked thru your soul, and with your heart in its hand, it offered a deal. You cant remember why, you cant remember when, you just remember accepting it, it was that or death. After that day things changed, power grew inside of you faster than ever before, and you found yourself capable of doing anything, anything you wanted, anything they wanted you to do. You can think on your own, but you know something else also talks thru you, they talk thru you. Now you need to decide what to do, follow your instincts, you goals, or follow their goals, their instincts. Other monks with the same faith tend to be together, but that isn't always possible.
Great Old Curse
Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to place a baleful curse on someone. You learn the Minor Illusion and Mind Sliver cantrip. Also, as a reaction, after hitting someone who isn't a fiend, fey or undead, you can spend 1 ki point and mark the opponent. The target is cursed for 1 minute. The curse ends early if the target dies, you die, or you are incapacitated. Until the curse ends, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a bonus to damage rolls against the cursed target. The bonus equals to your martial arts dice and the damage type is Necrotic.
- Any attack roll you make against the cursed target is a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.
- If the cursed target dies, you regain hit points equal to your monk level + your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1 hit point).
You can’t use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.
Ancient Presence
At 6st level, you learn how to use your curse to confuse the enemies, completely changing your appearance to a disturbing one. As an action you can spend 5 ki point to force every enemy that can see you to make a Intelligence saving throw against your ki save DC with disadvantage, or become frightened of you for 1 minute, taking psychic damage equal to your martial arts dice on the start of each of it's turn for the duration. While the creature is on this state, it'll see you as a smaller version of what cursed you, even If you don't know how it looks.
Now you can also affect Fiend, Fey and Undead creatures with your Great Old Curse
Old One's Mind
At 11th level, while training your body you also learned how to better control your curse. Once per long rest, when you deal psychic damage to someone, you can roll one martial arts dice, dealing the result as extra damage and recover ki points equal to the half of the result + your wisdom (minimum of one).
Call from the Void
At 17th level, your cursed spirit reaches its peak. As an action you can summon the void to consume your opponents. For each ki point you spend, you can create two magic darts directly from the void to kill your enemies (to a maximum of 10 ki points spent). Each dart hits a creature of your choice that you can see within range and the target must make a Intelligence saving throw. A dart deals your martial arts dice + wisdom, psychic, necrotic or force damage to its target on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The darts all strike simultaneously, and you can direct them to hit one creature or several.
