Base Class: Barbarian
A spell ripper is a being who's anger is powerful enough to disrupt the Weave itself, distorting and disrupting magic around themselves.
Weave Ripples
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, your weapon strikes create ripples of magic around them. While you’re raging, the first creature you hit on each of your turns with a weapon attack takes extra force damage equal to 1d6 + half your barbarian level.
Arcane Disruption
At 3rd level, magic behaves erratically around you. When you are targeted by a spell cast at a level equal to your proficiency bonus or lower, roll a 1d20, on an 11 or higher you are not affected by that spell.
When you reach 6th level of this class you can choose to be affected by the spell.
Spell Rip
Starting at 6th level, you learn to harness the weave to replicate some aspects of spellcasting. As an action you can replicate one of the spell effects below. For the effects that use a saving throw the DC is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.
- Lightning Bolt : You move up to 100 ft in a straight line, during this movement each creature you move within 5 ft of must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d6 lightning damage on a failure or half as much on a success.
- Fireball : Creatures other than yourself, within 20 ft of you must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d6 fire damage on a failure or half as much on a success.
- Fly : You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed for 1 minute.
Using one of these special actions retains your rage as if you had attacked another creature. You can only use this feature once per short rest.
Blurred Movement
At 10th level, your movement causes distortions in the Weave that blur your form. Attacks against you have disadvantage after you move at least 5 ft on your turn. This effect ends when you are hit by an attack, or at the start of your next turn.
Knotted Weave
Beginning at 14th level, while you're raging the fabric of reality becomes knotted and twisted around you, you gain the following benefits:
- When your Arcane Disruption is triggered, you determine the outcome rather than rolling
- You have resistance to all damage
- As a bonus action on your turn you can teleport up to 15 ft to a location you can see.
