Base Class: Artificer

Bomb sculptors take much pride in their work, infusing clay with a delicate mix of chemicals and magical explosive energy to make a compound that is pleasing from it's malleable beginning to it's flashy end. Having unlocked the potential of magically infused C4 and of small malleable homunculi, they are excellent at causing distractions, trap setting, and blowing up obstacles/enemies alike. They live for their craft and relish the chance to show off. With a Bomb sculptor in your crew it's never a dull moment(or quiet).

Tool Proficiency

When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with potters tools. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice. Additionally your experience with clay lets you use your potters tools to gain advantage on nature/survival checks made to find clay deposits.

C4

You gain the ability to infuse your clay with a number of explosive charges equal to your intelligence modifier (minimum of 1). These charges can be detonated with a bonus action, either singular or simultaneously. Creating a charge uses 1 action in which it can be thrown, placed or saved for later. They can also be detonated by fire. Charges have a dex save equal to your spell save DC with half damage on a failed save. Double damage to structures.

Combining charges increases the blast radius by 5ft and adds the damage together.

Ranged attacks throwing a C4 charge are made using your int modifier and count as simple weapons for the sake of proficiency. having a (range 20/60).

 At 11th level you can use spell storing item on your C4.

Each charge deals 1d4+1 fire damage to a 5ft square igniting any flammable objects in the area not being worn or carried. You may use a spell slot to increase the potency of your explosions. Damage increases by 1d8+1, this can be added to a single charge or dived among your charges as you choose.

 

*C4 charges can take the shape of whatever the pc wants purely for aesthetics. This can be creatures, playing cards for X-Men fans or even a baseball if you want to be the pitcher from hell, the sky's the limit!

Bomb Sculptors Aperture

At 3rd level, as a Bomb Sculptor you pull your clay from a demi-plane that contains your infused clay and can be used to store your clay creations. The demi-planes opening can be moved at the beginning of a long rest, this opening can be placed on an object, clothing or the users body. It can also be used as your arcane focus. This demi-plane cannot hold anything other than infused clay and will reject any thing else. You can take 1 hour per 5ft cube to infuse clay to make it your own.

The aperture starts with a 5ft cube worth of clay and is your minimum storage capacity. (Enough for 50 charges worth of clay)

Capacity increases by 5 cubic feet per your int mod + 1 cubic ft per artificer lv.

Additionally you gain the Mold Earth cantrip if you don't already have it.

Martyr Doll

At 5th level your C4 can take on a life of it's own, you can choose to give your C4 and impart extra magic, becoming a tiny construct. The charges can be combined to increase 1 size class per charge. 1=tiny, 2=small, 3=medium, 4=large, 5=huge.

Due to their malleable clay nature, they take on whatever shape you decide although it won't gain any benefits beyond flying or climbing features, it's art!

While your Martyr Dolls are within 100 feet of you, you can control them telepathically. You may use an action to command them to move, attack, use the help action on a single creature, interact with an object or hold action to detonate if a creature gets too close.

They can perform simple tasks that a human can do, but only as a unit or combined.

Martyr.

 When reduced to 0hp the Martyr Doll will self destruct dealing damage equal to the number of C4 charges used to make it.

Combined Might.

 As a bonus action a Martyr Doll can merge with another one, upon merging they become one creature increasing 1 size category. Slam damage increase 1d4 for each C4 Charge, as well the total hp is combined as well. STR increases by 2 per size category.

Actions

Slam.

 Attack: (users int mod)+2 to hit, range 5 ft., one target you can see. Damage: 1d4 + str . Due to the magically charged nature or these constructs this damage is magical in terms of overcoming resistances.

Explosion Adept

At 9th level your explosions pack a bigger punch, adding your int mod to the damage of each explosion, on a failed save pushing a creature 10ft away.

In addition you can change the damage type of your C4 to Acid, Force, or Thunder in addition to Fire. This can be done upon C4 creation.

Grand Finale

At 15th level once per long rest you can creates a huge statue and summon at an unoccupied space you can see within 150ft as a action(this statue can be stored in your aperture if you have the space), the statue takes the shape and coloring of your choice. Detonation can be done with a bonus action as long as you are within range. The dex save is your spell save dc.

Dropping it from a height will cause it to explode on impact rather than cause any additional damage from falling on a target.

Each creature in a 60-foot-radius sphere centered on the statue must make a Dexterity saving throw. The sphere spreads around corners. A creature takes 10d6 fire damage and 10d6 force damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. 
The explosion deals double damage to objects in the area and ignites flammable objects that aren't being worn or carried.

In addition you may apply your Explosion Adept feature to this explosion.
