Base Class: Warlock
Your patron is an ancient phoenix, an immortal being of cataclysmic power that wields promises of utter devastation and a finale of blaze onto the modern world, yearning for simpler times closer to nature, when wildlife and elementals such as itself could roam freely on the world, not constrained by the chains of the advances of civilization. They are wise, and far-seeing, extremely caring creatures that burn with emotion and passion, which can either explode in destructive flame, or gently restore those who need it.
Expanded Spell List
The Phoenix lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Ignite
Starting at 1st level, you gain the ability to start fires with a touch. As an action, you can magically ignite a flammable object you touch with your hand—an object such as a torch, a piece of tinder, or the hem of drapes; and you gain the control flames cantrip if you don't know it already, and it doesn't count against your number of cantrips known.
Additionally, whenever you deal damage with eldritch blast, you may deal fire damage instead of force damage.
Flaming Feathers
Also starting at 1st level, whenever you expend a spell slot to cast a spell from your expanded spell list, a spell that deals fire or radiant damage, or a spell that restores hit points, you may unleash the blazing phoenix fire that fueled it to create flaming feathers that surround and spin around you. You create a number of feathers equal to 1 + the spell slot's level, and as a bonus action on your turn, you can hurl one of the feathers against a creature within 60 feet of you.
If the creature is hostile, make a ranged spell attack, and on a hit, the creature takes 1d6 + your Charisma modifier fire damage. When you reach 10th level in this class, the damage increases to 2d4 + 1 + your Charisma modifier.
If the creature isn't hostile, the creature gains 1d6 + your Charisma modifier hit points. When you reach 10th level in this class, the healing increases to 2d4 + 1 + your Charisma modifier.
You can use this feature once, and gain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest. At 6th level, you gain use it twice between rests, and at 18th level you can use it thrice between rests.
Feed the Fire
At 6th level, the flames from your patron restore you. When you expend a spell slot to cast a spell from your expanded spell list, a spell deals a fire or radiant damage, or a spell that restores hit points, you regain hit points equal to the slot’s level + your proficiency bonus + your charisma modifier. If you are at your hit point maximum, you instead gain that many temporary hit points.
From the Ashes
Starting at 6th level, the fiery energy of your patron grows restless and vengeful. In the face of defeat, it surges outward to preserve you in a fiery roar. If you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to draw on the spark of the phoenix. You are instead reduced to 1 hit point, each creature within 10 feet of you takes fire damage equal to half your warlock level + your Charisma modifier, and you gain temporary hit poins equal to the amount of fire damage dealt this way. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Additionally, you gain resistance to fire damage.
Form of the Phoenix
Starting at 14th level, you can take upon the appearance of your patron. As an action, you magically wreathe yourself in swirling fire, as your eyes glow like hot coals. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
- You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
- You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
- Once per turn, when you roll fire or radiant damage, you may add your Charisma modifier to one of the damage rolls. Alternatively, once per turn, when you roll to restore hit points, you may add your Charisma modifier to the dice rolled.
- Fire damage you deal ignores immunity and resistance to fire damage.
You can use this feature twice, and you gain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
