Base Class: Warlock
Ley lines exist as a honing device for arcane practice. Magic just seems to work better on or near a ley line; it exists almost like a magical battery. The planes are interconnected with these lines, allowing raw arcane energy to intersect and weave throughout space and time.
What drives a person to form a pact with the ley line? Sometimes it calls out to those as a form of self-preservation, seeking a druidic healer to mend broken connections across the line. Other times people come to it seeking a favor, offering their arcane abilities in return. A ley line's primary goal is to keep the current of arcane energy flowing. Breaks in this circuit, like rocks, towers, or even villages, disrupts the flow and weakens its effect on the world.
Work with your DM on how exactly ley lines interact with the world. Is it something that many people would know about, or something kept in secret from the common people? How common are these ley lines throughout the world? Where do they intersect? What happens when they intersect?

Keen Eye
Starting at 1st level, your connection to the ley line allows to notice patterns that others might miss. You gain proficiency on Perception and Insight checks and roll with advantage if you are near a stable ley line.
Untapped Potential
Starting at 1st level, arcane energy flows through the ley line like a current; your connection is like a battery. When you cast a spell, roll a d20. On a 1, roll on the wild magic table.
This effect stacks the longer a surge does not occur; like a short circuit, the untapped arcane potential of a ley line grows and grows until this effect is triggered. After each success, the DC for failure increases.
Example: a player has cast four spells since a wild magic surge. This surge can now occur on a 1, 2, 3, or 4 when a d20 is rolled. This effect resets to 1 when a wild magic surge is triggered.
Arcane Traveler
Starting at 6th level, your connection to the ley line provides with unparalleled access to the world and the planes beyond. While on a ley line, you ignore difficult terrain and you gain the ability to cast the Blink spell without expending a spell slot. This feature resets after a short or long rest.
Nature's Whims
Starting at 10th level, your service to the ley line manifests in the form of protection. If you or an ally within 30 feet are attacked while on a ley line, you can spend a reaction to have the ley line absorb all the damage on from the attack. This ability only affects one creature. At the start of your turn, a wild magic surge occurs; roll a d100 on the wild magic table.
You regain this ability after a long rest.
Line Walker
Starting at 14th level, your connection to the ley line is so powerful that you can travel between them at will. You and up to six willing creatures gain the ability to teleport to areas where the lines intersect. You can use this ability once per short of long rest.
