Base Class: Monk
Contrary to their Sun Soul counterparts, Monks of the Way of the Moon Soul internalize their energies, preferring to enhance their physical prowess and abilities using Ki as opposed to releasing it for offense.
Moon Soul monks are generally known for their patience and level-headedness, carefully assessing situations and fighting accordingly.
Waning Strikes
Starting at 3rd level, you infuse your attacks with concentrated moonlight. When you hit a creature with an unarmed attack, you can spend one Ki point to deal additional damage equal to one roll of your martial arts dice, and push the creature back 10ft.
New Moon Veil
Starting at 6th level, and as an action, you can spend 3 Ki points to cloak yourself in moonlight for 1 minute or until you're knocked unconscious. While cloaked, you emit dim light in a 10ft radius, and you regain hit points equal to one roll of your martial arts dice at the start of each of your turns, and gain advantage on saving throws against spells.
Waxing Steps
At 11th level, when you use your step of the wind or when you are under the effect of new moon veil, you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
Full Moon Cloak
Starting at 17th level, you can spend 5 Ki points to summon your Full Moon Cloak for 1 minute or until you are knocked unconscious. You gain all the benefits of New Moon Veil as well as the following additional ones;
- You emit bright light in a 20ft radius, and dim light for another 20ft beyond that. Creatures of your choice that start their turn in the bright light take radiant damage equal to your Wisdom modifier.
- You don't have to pay the Ki cost for using Waning Strikes in this form.
- If you would be reduced to 0 hit points, instead you can end your Full Moon Cloak and drop to 1 hit point instead.
- As an action, you can create a beam of shining moonlight in a 60ft long, 10ft wide line. Creatures in that space must make a DEX saving throw or take 2d6 + your Wisdom modifier in radiant damage. You can spend extra Ki points up to your proficiency bonus to strengthen this attack. For each one your spend, increase the damage by 2d6, and the range by 10ft.
