College of Revolution

Bards of the College of Revolution use their instruments, weapons and voices to break the chains of oppression and fight tyranny wherever they see it. These bards are more charismatic than most but use that natural charisma for good, whether it’s to inspire civilians to take action, strike fear into the hearts of tyrants or to rally an army. 

Bards of the College of Revolution also often find themselves in the limelight as controversial ideas and opposition to the status quo brings both supporters and detractors in droves. 

Ignite the Flames

Beginning when you choose this College at 3rd level, you’re an expert at inspiring others to take up action. You gain proficiency in the Charisma (Persuasion) skill. In addition, whenever you make a Charisma (Persuasion) check and fail, you can choose to expend one of your Bardic Inspiration dice, roll it and add it to the result.

Song of Liberty

Also at 3rd level, you can use bardic magic to light a roaring fire of rebellion in even the meekest of hearts. As an action, you can expend one of your Bardic Inspiration dice, roll it and choose a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier within 30 feet of you. You and the chosen creatures immediately gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the result of the roll plus your Charisma modifier and gain the following benefits:

• Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
• You have advantage on saving throws and ability checks to avoid being grappled or restrained.

These benefits last for 1 minute, until you are incapacitated, or until you choose to end it as a bonus action.

You can use this feature once per long rest.

Inspire the Downtrodden

At 6th level, you've learnt how to inspire and invigorate the fallen and downtrodden. As a bonus action, you can grant a creature within 30 feet of you that currently has 0 hit points a number of hit points equal to your current bard level plus your Charisma modifier. If the target is currently prone, it can also immediately stand up without expending any movement.

You can use this feature once per long rest.

Herald of Rebellion

At 14th level, the flames of revolution you ignite can push your allies to their utmost limits. Creatures under the benefits of your Song of Liberty feature also gain 1 additional action it can take as part of each of its turns. This action can only be used to make a single weapon attack, or to take the Dash, Help or [Tooltip Not Found] actions.
