Base Class: Monk
A discipline that mimics that unique fighting techniques of the deadly Displacer Beast.
Cloak of the Beast
Once you learn this ability at 3rd level, evading attacks is second nature to you. Patient Defense no longer costs ki.
Claws of the Beast
Starting at 3rd level, your unarmed attacks may deal bludgeoning or piercing damage as you choose. The first time you deal damage during your turn to a creature that attacked you since the end of your previous turn, roll a Martial Arts die. Add the result to the damage you deal.
Reach of the Displaced
Starting at 6th level, the reach of your unarmed attacks increases by 5 ft. When you use your action to make only unarmed attacks, you may make an additional unarmed attack as a part of that action.
Lasting Displacement
Starting at level 11, if you took the Dodge action on your previous turn (either as your action or using patient defense), you may spend 1 ki to Dodge without using an action or bonus action at the beginning of your turn.
Eyes of the Night
At level 11, you gain 60 ft of darkvision, or increase your darkvision by 60 ft if you already have it. You can see through magical darkness.
Summon the Beast
Starting at level 17, the spirit of the Displacer Beast lives in you and can be called forth. Once per short rest, summon the spirit of the Displacer Beast into an unoccupied space within 5 ft. This spirit has the stats of a Displacer Beast but has the type of Fey and no Alignment. It acts on your initiative after your turn. It will follow your commands telepathically (no action needed). It has a bonus to its AC and damage equal to your Wis Mod. The spirit stays for one hour or until dismissed or killed.
