Base Class: Barbarian
The serial killer, the bounty hunter, the sadistic noble, the town’s executioner. They, however seemingly different, have one thing in common: a hunger for death. All barbarians put on a show of violence, but none as dramatic as the Executioner. Some of this path worry themself with justice, others disregard law entirely. Either way, the philosophy is simple: if death can bring revelry we have no reason to deprive ourselves (or the mob) of it.
Chopping Block
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you excel at slaying those who can’t fight back. While raging, on your first attack each turn, if you hit a restrained, paralyzed, or stunned creature your attack is a critical hit.
Carnal Invigoration
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you delight in the spectacular slaughter of your enemies. When you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack, gain temporary hp equal to the excess damage past 0 you deal + your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
Executioner's Strike
Beginning at 6th level, you learn to devastate your foes with one brutal swing. When you take the attack action, you may forgo your multiattack to instead perform an Executioner's Strike. An Executioner’s Strike attacks with the weapon you’re using, but crits on 19-20, adds an additional damage die, and adds your Charisma modifier to the damage dealt.
Twisted Psyche
Beginning at 10th level, your thoughts are so depraved that worldly horrors cannot phase you. You are immune to the Frightened condition. In addition, anyone reading your thoughts or sensing your alignment must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your Charisma + your proficiency bonus) or become frightened of you for 1 minute.
Dizzying Blow
Beginning at 14th level, you master the art of preparing your enemies for execution. While raging, you may make an unarmed attack against an enemy as a bonus action. If the attack hits, the creature must make a Constitution saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your Charisma + your proficiency bonus) or be stunned until the end of your turn. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per long rest (minimum of once).
