Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Skalds are historians and poets who are also powerful combatants. They channel their rage into powerful songs using their voices combined with fearsome blows on enemies, each of which seems to form a primal rhythm. Their strength and daring deeds inspire and embolden their allies, and their musical prowess can even be used to tap into the same source of magic as bards do. Not only do they tell the tales of the oldest heroes, but they also show that they are worthy to be remembered.

Song of Strength

At 3rd level, you can bestow some of the effects of your Rage onto your allies.

When you Rage, you can choose a number of creature equal to your Constitution modifier that are within 60 ft. of you. Until your Rage ends, the creatures you choose have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.

Warrior Poet

Also at 3rd level, the tales you tell are legendary.

You gain proficiency in the Performance skill, as well as one musical instrument of your choice. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability checks you make that use Performance.

Spell Keening

At 6th level, you know how to pinch magic from your bardic brethren.

You learn three spells from the Bard spell list, each of which must be of 2nd level or lower. You can cast each of these spells once without expending a spell slot. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells. Once you cast a spell using this feature, you cannot cast that spell again until you finish a long rest.

When you gain a level in this class, you can choose to replace one of the spells you know with another from the Bard spell list - the new spell must also be of 2nd level or lower.

Violent Crescendo

At 10th level, you can add a rage-filled vibrato to your songs.

When you use your Song of Strength, you can choose to end your Rage early - when you do, all creatures of your choice within 30 ft. of you to make a Constitution saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your Proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a failure, a creature takes 5d6 thunder damage, and it is pushed away from you by 10 ft. On a success, the target takes half as much damage, and it is not pushed.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Song of Inspiration

At 14th level, your raging songs can fill your allies with the power to push through to the very end.

When a creature is under the effects of your Song of Strength, it gains an Inspiration die at the start of each of its turns, which is a d6. The creature can roll this die, and add the number rolled to one attack roll, ability check, saving throw, or damage roll of their choice. The die lasts until the end of its turn, and is lost if not used before then.
