Spartan

A warrior wearing a gold helmet charges at the enemy’s soldier camp, leaping over a barricade he hurls a spear at an enemy man, drawing sword his sword he cuts down another with one mighty swing, his allies come forth and lock their shields with his and together they surge forward to annihilate what remains of the camp.

The Phalanx

Starting when you choose this archetype at 3rd level your shield offers protection to more than just yourself. While wearing a shield all allies within 5ft of you benefit from your shields AC bonus.

Hoplite

Also at 3rd level, you become a master at using specific equipment. Putting on a shield costs a use an object action instead of an action. Additionally whenever you make a ranged attack with a spear or javelin, you may draw and throw the weapon as part of your attack (no use an object action required.)

Your range for a spear increases to 30/120ft.

Your range for a javelin increases to 40/160ft.

Stoic

Beginning at 7th level. You are immune to the frightened condition.

Battle cry

By 10th level hearing your war cry can terrify your enemies or encourage those who fight beside you. At the beginning of combat when you roll initiative you may emit a war cry audible for 300ft. Choose one option from below:

• Inspire: all creatures of your choice within 60ft of you gain temporary hit points equal to your strength modifier x2.

• Curse: all creatures of your choice within 60ft of you must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC: 8 + proficiency bonus + strength modifier) or be frightened of you for 1 minute. They make the saving throw again at the beginning of each of their turns.

Greater Hoplite

From 15th level. You may add your shield’s AC bonus to your damage rolls with spears, javelins, shortswords and longsword.

Survivor

At 18th level you cannot be knocked down so easily. At the beginning of each of your turns, you regain 10 hit points if you have no more than half of your hit points left. You don't gain this benefit if you have 0 hit points.
