Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Sanctified Slayers are covert operatives of temples or cults, serving as spies and assassins for religious organizations to monitor and quell the influence of rival gods, doing the risky and bloody work common priests are not capable of.

Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the cleric spell list.

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips: guidance and one other cantrip of your choice from the cleric spell list. You learn another cleric cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots

The Sanctified Slayer Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your cleric spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell bless and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast bless using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level cleric spells of your choice.

The Spells Known column of the Sanctified Slayer Spellcasting table shows when you learn more cleric spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the cleric spells you know with another spell of your choice from the cleric spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability

Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your cleric spells, since your spells are granted through your deity. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a cleric spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Divine Blade

Starting at 3rd level, your sneak attacks carry the judgement of your deity. While rolling sneak attack damage dice, instead of dealing your weapon's damage type, you can choose to deal radiant damage if you are good aligned, necrotic damage if you are evil aligned, or force damage if you are neutral aligned.

Holy Ambush

Starting at 9th level, if you are hidden from a creature when you cast a spell on it, the creature has disadvantage on any saving throw it makes against the spell this turn.

Divine Authority

At 13th level, you gain the ability to distract targets with your bless or bane power. The spell for this ability is bless if you are good aligned or bane if evil. Neutral characters can pick from either upon gaining this ability.

You learn the chosen spell if you do not already have it, and can cast it without expending a spell slot once per long rest.

  • For bless: Allies affected by your bless spell heal for (your proficiency bonus) times d6 hitpoints whenever you inflict a sneak attack.
  • For bane: You have advantage on attacks against all enemies affected by bane.

Deific Slayer

At 17th level, you gain the ability to channel divine powers upon punishing enemies of your faith.

Immediately after a successful sneak attack, you can cast bless or bane according to your Divine Authority feature, as a reaction.
