Base Class: Monk
Monks utilize internal energy known as ki to augment their strikes and abilities. A Lightning Striker's body houses a dense form of ki that supercharges their monk abilities to an electrifying degree.
Electrifying Ki
Starting at 3rd level, when you make an unarmed attack or an attack with a monk weapon you can replace the damage with lightning damage.
In addition, your core monk abilities have been augmented by your electrifying ki.
Flurry of Blows. You can make 3 unarmed strikes instead of 2.
Patient Defense. If an enemy's attack misses you while you are dodging, you can use your reaction to make an attack against them. This attack must be an unarmed strike or use a monk weapon.
Step of the Wind. You can spend a ki point to gain advantage on your next acrobatics check that is made within the next minute.
Stunning Strike. When you stun a creature with your stunning strike, you can spend 2 additional ki points to make them paralyzed instead.
Diamond Soul. If you still fail the saving throw after rerolling, you can harness the lingering ki to empower yourself, giving you advantage on the next attack roll you make. This attack must be made within 1 minute after the failed save and must be an unarmed strike or an attack made with a monk weapon.
Empty Body. You can spend 4 ki points to gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed for 1 minute.
Thunder Stomp
At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel your ki into searing waves of energy. Immediately after you take the attack action on your turn, you can spend 2 ki points to cast the thunderwave spell as a bonus action.
You can spend additional ki points to cast thunderwave as a higher-level spell. Each additional ki point you spend increases the spell’s level by 1. The maximum number of ki points (2 plus any additional points) that you can spend on the spell equals half your monk level.
Ki Lightning
At 11th level, you gain the ability to create a stroke of lighting that pierces through your enemies. As an action, you magically create a bolt of lighting from your hands that is 5 feet wide and 100 feet long.
Each creature in that line must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 lightning damage. The lightning ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.
You can increase the bolt's damage by spending ki points. Each point you spend, to a maximum of 3, increases the damage by 2d6.
Supercharged
You can spend 6 ki points to supercharge yourself for 1 minute. While in this state, you are under the following effects:
- Your unarmed attacks and attacks made with monk weapons deal an additional 1d10 thunder damage.
- Your movement does not trigger attacks of opportunity.
- You have resistance to lightning and thunder damage.
- The default damage for Ki Lightning increases from 2d6 to 3d6.
- The default damage for thunderwave cast with your Thunder Stomp feature increases from 2d8 to 3d8.
Updated version here. Just minor fix with wording for Supercharged feature.
