Base Class: Monk
Some take gunplay to its most extreme, turning it into a martial artform in itself. Monks of the way of powder incorporate firearms into their fighting styles, using traditional techniques in conjunction with marksmanship to create a wholly unique way of combat.
Some go on to become sheriffs of small communities, while others wander the lands as elite combatants, capable of dealing death from up close or afar.
Gun Fu
When you take this tradition at 3rd level you gain the following effects:
- You gain proficiency with firearms
- You no longer have disadvantage on ranged attacks against targets within 5ft.
- Firearms become monk weapons for you.
- Any firearms you use that lack the heavy or special properties can be wielded in each hand
Blessed powder
At 6th level you learn how to infuse your bullets with ki. Your ranged attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Your gun is your life
At 11th level, you gain the ability to augment your firearms further with your ki. As a bonus action, you can expend up to 3 ki points to grant one weapon you touch a bonus to attack and damage rolls when you attack with it. The bonus equals the number of ki points you spent. This bonus lasts for 1 minute or until you use this feature again. This feature has no effect on a magic weapon that already has a bonus to attack and damage rolls.
Curve the bullet
At 17th level, your mastery of firearms grants you extraordinary accuracy. If you miss with an attack roll using a monk weapon on your turn, you can spend a ki point to reroll it.
