Base Class: Warlock
The stormcaller is an unpredictable force, one that takes joy in its own power and revels in its destructive nature. Those who ride such chaos are often equally unpredictable, but they also value freedom above all else—freedom from restrictions, freedom from convention and tradition, freedom from society's expectations... even freedom from themselves.
The giant or demigod that has chosen you as their servant may vary, but the mere touch of their powers causes the storm winds to bend to your will. Such powers tend to be far better at calling the chaotic power at their disposal than calming it, and many who ride the tempest will find the same is true for them, leaving destruction in their wake if they are not careful in how they use their power... if they even care about what remains in their wake.
The path of a stormcaller is not an easy one: it requires you to be able to control your own inner tempests as well as those around you without being controlled by them.
Expanded Spell List
The pact of the Stormcaller lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Chaos of the Storm
When you cast a spell of first level or higher on your turn, a storm begins to brew around you. You gain a stack of Chaos equal to the level of the spell slot used. If you cast a spell while the storm is active, your Chaos increases by one to a maximum equal to your Charisma modifier.
While Chaos is being channeled through you, you gain the following abilities based on how many stacks of Chaos you have:
Chaos 0: You can cast spells normally. If a spell requires concentration, it cannot be maintained while this effect is active because your concentration is being used to maintain the storm.
Chaos 1: You gain resistance to lightning damage and advantage on saving throws against being pushed back by strong winds or knocked prone by heavy rain.
Chaos 2: You add thunder damage equal to half your warlock level (rounded down) to any spells that deal lightning damage, such as shocking grasp or chain lightning (or a Stormcaller's eldritch blast). This additional damage does not stack with other effects that add thunder damage to spells dealing lightning damage.
Chaos 3: Whenever you deal lightning damage with an attack or spell, each creature within 5 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or take 2d6 lightning damage on a failed save.
Chaos 4: The storm has reached its peak! Whenever you hit with an attack roll against an enemy creature, they must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be stunned until the beginning of their next turn.
Chaos 5+: Should your Chaos has surpassed mortal limitations, as long as this storm remains active, you can use an action to speak its command word and cause lightning to strike up to 120 feet away from you. Make a ranged spell attack against a single creature within 20 feet of where this lightning strikes. On a hit, that creature takes 6d8 lightning damage. However, at the end of your turn you must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or take two levels of exhaustion.
Your Chaos Stack can be reduced by one each time you end your turn without casting a first level or higher spell. You can prevent the decay of your Chaos Stack by using your concentration. If used in this way your concentration checks have advantage.
Thunderous Blasts
Starting at 6th level, when you cast eldritch blast, you can choose to deal lightning or thunder damage instead of force.
Herald of the Storm
Starting at 10th level, you call upon the power of your pact to create or gather a natural storm, and your body becomes naturally infused with the power of the storm giving you resistance to lightning and thunder damage. Centering it on yourself for up to 8 hours, or if the chaos level of the storm drops below two. This storm naturally empowers you up to Chaos 2. As long as you maintain the storm, you may cast lightning bolt at 5th level without a spell slot. Additionally, you can expend stacks of chaos to increase the spell level by one. Casting lightning bolt in this way does increase the chaos of the storm by one but, that increased stack cannot be used in the same turn.
This ability can only be used once per long rest.
Ride the Lightning
Starting at 14th level, the storm that surrounds you has caused the universe to bend, and now your Chaos no longer decreases at the end of your turn. You have also gained the ability to teleport with lightning up to a point that you can see that is encompassed by the storm that you are currently maintaining.
While this effect is active, you may use your action to teleport up to double your movement speed in any direction so long as it is within an area of dim light or darkness and is no more than 5 feet away from another creature or object. This teleportation does not provoke opportunity attacks, but you must be able to see where you are teleporting before using this ability.
