Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Having made a pact with an evil, otherworldly being, capable of phasing into one's mind when they sleep and cause vivid, horrific nightmares, you have become a tool of torment. Your Patron's power to manipulate dreams and create nightmares has granted you power over sleep and fear itself. Turning your body into a husk imbued with dark power capable of reading anyone's biggest fears or most painful memories, along with the ability to reflect those images back at them, rendering you an agent of fear. The effects of this pact have marred your body and your mental state and your only defence against those who would do you harm is unleashing attacks of deep anguish.

Master of Sleep

Having gained your patrons ability to manipulate the nature of dreams and sleep itself, you are now immune to any magical attempts to put you to sleep, or alter your dreams. The only being that can surpass this feature is your Dreamhaunter Patron.

Nightmarish Reflection

The dark power of your Patron allows you to look into the mind of one creature you see, and witness either a painful memory or a biggest fear of theirs to exploit. You can use a bonus action to transform into the targeted creatures worst nightmare or other such form that will Frighten said target immediately. This condition lasts until the end of the duration, or if the target uses its action to succeed on a Wisdom Saving Throw equal to your Spell Save DC on its next turn. Additionally, when you hit any creature in combat while transformed, you can force it to make a similar Wisdom Saving Throw, on a failed save, said creature is also Frightened of you until the end of its next turn. You cannot be Frightened in this form. You can transform a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, per long rest. This form lasts up to 10 minutes, or until you decide to revert back to your normal state.

Anguish Parry

At 6th Level, your constant exposure to people's biggest fears and worst memories turns you into a vessel for mental pain and you gain the ability to use dark magic to absorb the damage of an attack made against you and convert it into an attack on the mind of your attacker.

When a creature lands a successful attack on you, you can choose to negate the damage taken and instead your attacker takes the same amount of damage in the form of psychic damage. When doing this in the form of your Nightmarish Reflection, you may add an extra roll of the attack's damage die to the total of Psychic Damage you deal against them as part of this Reaction, this also Frightens the attacker in the same way as if you were to have made an attack on them.

You may only use this feat once per short or long rest.

Shield of Psychosis

At 10th Level, you have mastered the discomfort of all the anguish you expose yourself to on a daily basis and are now resistant to all Psychic Damage. When using your Nightmarish Reflection you are immune to psychic damage. Additionally, if a Psychic Damage attack made against you would have taken you to 0 hit points, it instead takes you to 1 hit point.

Vestiges of Trauma

At 14th Level, you have become a vessel of grief, and can no longer be frightened in any form. When using your nightmarish reflection, the target must now make a Wisdom Saving Throw; on a successful save, Nightmarish Reflection acts as normal. On a failed save, the target's Intelligence and Charisma both drop to 1 and they are rendered permanently insane unless magically restored to sanity. This does not affect Legendary Creatures.

Once you use this feature, successfully or not, you cannot use it again until completing a long rest, however you may still use your Nightmarish Reflection.
