The Tenants of Restraint

1. Humble Dignity - Life is sacred. Your own life is both as, and no more important than any other.

2. Service before Pleasure - Life with your curse requires constant focus on what is important. Indulging in distractions is a threat to your humanity

3. Mastery of Self - When carefully trained, your new abilities may aid you to defend yourself and others. Use of these abilities requires absolute confidence lest you lose control.

4. Never Give In - So long as you don't let it, your curse cannot control you. This is a constant struggle which you must never be complicit in.

Transfusion

When you take this oath at 3rd level you can bolster you lay on hands pool with your own hit points. An amount of times per long rest equal to your Charisma modifier, you may use your lay on hands ability to transfer a maximum number of hit points equal to your paladin level from your total hit points to another creature.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.

Night Stalker. You can use your Channel Divinity to transform into a bat. While in this form your size is tiny, your walking speed becomes 5ft, and you gain a flying speed of 30ft. All other stats stay the same. This effect can last up to 10 minutes and can be reversed with a bonus action.

Crimson Smite. You can use your Channel Divinity to imbue your strike with your vampiric magic. Your next successful melee weapon attack after using this ability deals an additional 1d6 necrotic damage. This damage reduces the targets hit point total and you regain hit points equal to the damage dealt. If a creature is reduced to 0 hit points by this damage it dies.

When you reach 7th, 15th, and 18th level, the extra damage increases by 1d6.

Bringer of Mercy

Starting at 7th level, you can sense when nearby creatures are on the verge of death. You sense when a creature within 30 feet of you is missing more than half of its maximum hit points. When attacking these targets, rolling a 19 or 20 constitutes a critical hit and your unarmed strike becomes a bite attack. Your bite is a strength based attack which deals 1d6 piercing damage which reduces the target’s maximum hit points and heals you for the same amount. The target’s maximum hit points returns to normal after a short rest. This attack does not require an available hand.

Blood Letting

At 15th level, you gain the ability to direct you vampiric regeneration in different ways. Any time you regain hit points from a paladin spell or ability you gain advantage on your next roll. In addition you can choose to redirect the hit points into you lay on hands pool. This ability does not increase the maximum of your lay on hands pool.

Only Die Once

At 20th level, you have full control over your vampiric abilities, even on deaths door.
