Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

A Paladin who has turned to a new Patron in order to exact revenge on someone who betrayed them. These kinds of Paladins are often Monster Hunters, Mercenaries or Bounty Hunters. their power is connected to both their patron and their emotions, they gain the power from their patron and the stronger their emotions the more their magic is amplified (Your DM decides when to increase or decrease the power of your magic i.e. advantage, disadvantage) and similar to wild magic, your DM can make you roll on the wild magic table in situations where you would lose control.

Furious Summoning

You learn the find familiar spell and can cast it as a ritual. The spell doesn’t count against your number of spells known.

When you cast the spell, you can choose one of the normal forms for your familiar or one of the following special forms: imp, pseudodragon or sprite.

Additionally, when you take the Attack action, you can forgo one of your own attacks to allow your familiar to make one attack with its reaction.

Focused Blade

At 7th level you gain access to a phantasmal blade fueled by your emotions with a range of 80ft that deals 5d8 Psychic damage. it's base damage is 5d8 psychic but your DM can at their discretion, let you roll double damage in times when your emotions are especially wild and uncontrolled.

Betrayed Fury

similar to a barbarian you can enter a rage, however you can only rage once per long rest and afterwards you must take 2 levels of exhaustion.

While raging, you gain the following benefits if you aren’t wearing heavy armor:

  • You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
  • When you make a melee weapon attack using Strength, you gain a bonus to the damage roll that increases as you gain levels as a barbarian, as shown in the Rage Damage column of the Barbarian table.
  • You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

If you are able to cast spells, you can’t cast them or concentrate on them while raging.

Your rage lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven’t attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then. You can also end your rage on your turn as a bonus action.

Enraged Vampirism

At 20th level you gain the ability to use the Focused Blade to deal 2d10 necrotic damage instead of the normal damage. using this ability when you attack a creature you gain hit points equal to the damage that you deal to the target. when switched it changes from an attack roll on the target to the target making a CON save, if they succeed, the damage dealt and healing received is halved, if not then they take full damage. if they roll a natural 1 on their save then the damage dealt and healing received is doubled.
