Base Class: Monk
In the mountain and cliffs of the desert lay hidden old and marvelous temples.
Monks of the Way of The Shifting Sands spend their life in the desert to train their body and soul. Through solemn meditation they become one with the earth and their surroundings, gaining a peaceful mind and soul. Rigorous martial training under the hot sun tempers their body and spirit, making them sturdy fighters.
Gifts of the desert
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast earth tremor (2nd level), shatter, dust devil, earthbind, or spend 3 ki points to cast wall of sand, all without providing material components. Additionally, you gain the magic stone cantrip if you don’t already know it.
Sand Stride
At 6th level, you gain the ability to turn into a fast moving sand cloud. When you are standing on at least 5 square feet of sand, as a bonus action you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You then impose disadvantage on one creatures first melee attack, that is within 5 feet of where you reappear, as you blow sand around them and confusing them.
This ability also makes it possible for you to stand and move around on the spell wall of sand that you create.
Stone Armor
By 11th level, you have learned to encase yourself in stone to protect yourself from attacks. As an action you can spend 5 ki points to gain a +1 bonus to AC and resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for 10 minutes. You don't benefit from your Unarmored Movement feature during this time, as the weighty stone slows down your movements.
Sand Whispers
At 17th level, you are so in tune with the earth itself that you can feel through it. You gain tremorsense out to a range of 60 feet. Using your tremorsense, you can detect and pinpoint the origin of vibrations within 60 feet, provided that you and the source of the vibrations are in contact with the same ground or substabce. For example, your tremorsense can't be used to detect flying or incorporeal creatures.
