Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Titans were once known for both their incredible size and their equally incredible magical prowess. Though the last living titans have long since been banished from the realm, they have shrines hidden across the world and have never stopped seeking a path to return to the lands of their children. In eras long past titans typically granted powers to giants and giantkin, but as their children have dwindled, any of stout heart and determination who crosses paths with titan relics may find themselves infused with the extraordinary powers of mighty beings - beings whose smallest steps left colossal grooves in the earth.

Titans whose names have survived the ages include Thrym, King of All Giants; Sigrun, Captain of the Valkyries; Vasad, Grandfather Winter; Freya, the Lost Witch; and Grid, Daughter of Hammers. Many other names have fallen into obscurity.

Expanded Spell List

The Titans let you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Titans Expanded Spells
Spell Level Spells
1st command, earth tremor
2nd augury, heat metal
3rd call lightning, speak with dead
4th divination, fire shield
5th cone of cold, dispel evil and good

Voice of the Jotun

Starting at 1st level, you learn the thaumaturgy cantrip, which counts as a warlock cantrip for you, and you may cast this spell as a bonus action. When you alter your voice using this spell, you gain advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks. You also learn to speak, read, and write Giant.

When your voice rings out, others listen. Spells such as command and similar magical effects that require the target to understand your language no longer require a shared language to be successful.

Sigrun's Valor

Starting at 6th level, you may gather a fraction of a fallen enemy's wavering soul as a weapon or a shield. Once per turn, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you may choose one of the following effects:

  • All enemies within 10 feet of you take 1d8 radiant damage.
  • All allies within 10 feet of you (including you) gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1 hit point). If an ally within 10 feet is unconscious when affected by this ability, they instead regain 1 hit point and receive no temporary hit points.

This ability does not work if the target you reduced to 0 hit points is a Construct or Undead.

Thrym's Tongue

Also at 6th level, you gain the ability to cast tongues. You may cast this a number of times each day equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). You regain all uses following a long rest.

Hel's Whispers

Beginning at 10th level, Hel grants you glimpses of knowledge long forgotten. You may cast legend lore once per day without the need for material components. You must complete a long rest before you can use this ability again.

In addition, you have a preternatural ability to understand the dead. If a creature has died in the last 100 years, you may spend one minute at its burial location or physically touching its remains (e.g., a bone or ashes) to learn its name, race, gender, and the approximate time and manner of death.

Freya's Promise

When you reach 14th level, you are filled to the brim with the raw magical energy of the Lost Witch. As an action, you may activate this feature to gain the following effects for a number of rounds equal to 1 + your Charisma modifier (minimum of 2 rounds):

  • You gain truesight out to 30 feet.
  • You may add double your proficiency bonus to your spell attack bonus and spell save DC.
  • You have advantage on all saving throws against spells and spell effects.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
