Base Class: Rogue
Surviving in the Rubblebelt often requires a display of strength to be considered an equal among the Gruul clans. Thieves and outcasts who flee to this location have to adapt quickly to survive. Often it takes more than speed and cunning to leave your mark.
As a Gruul outlander, you've taken your refined skills with a blade and upped the ante by relying on your strength in addition to your guile. Embracing the savagery of your fellow clans mates and impressing them with a deadly display of force.
Savage Precision
Starting at 3rd level, you have learned to wield the bulkier weapons of your Gruul clansmen with devastating effect. You choose a martial weapon without the Heavy property and gain proficiency with it. You may ignore the finesse or ranged weapon requirements for gaining Sneak Attack damage with the chosen weapon. You choose another martial weapon at the 9th level.
Brutish Environment
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in medium armor and the Intimidation skill if you don’t already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses this skill proficiency.
Brute Force
Starting at 9th level, whenever you fail a skill check using your Thieves' Tools you may add your Strength Modifier to the roll, potentially turning your failure into a success. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per day.
Flinching Charge
Starting at 13th level when you dash as a bonus action and move a least 15 feet in a straight line towards a hostile creature, make an Intimidation check contested against the creatures Insight check. If you win the contest your first melee attack against that creature is done so with advantage. Whether the attack hits or misses that creature can’t make opportunity attacks against you for the rest of your turn.
Killing Blow
At 17th level, you can strike with incredible power against an unexpecting foe. When you land an attack that would grant you sneak attack damage, you may replace all the d6s normally used for sneak attack with the damage die of the weapon used to make the attack. Once you do so, you can’t use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.
