Monk
Base Class: Monk

Forced to live a life of isolation and abandonment, Monks of the Way of the Abandoned Rose find their way in the world by forcing others to feel the pain that they feel. Monks of this tradition have a close tie with plants, especially roses, as plants are the best kind of company in their eyes.

The Joys of Plants

Starting at the 3rd level, your time alone has driven to become closer with plant life. You can use the druidcraft cantrip at will. Additionally you can gain advantage on saving throws that would cause you to become poisoned, and gain resistance to poison damage.

Rose Whips

Beginning at the 3rd level, you gain the ability to summon whips made of roses, vines, and thorns. As a bonus action you can spend 2 ki points to summon your rose whips, with these the range of your unarmed strikes increases by 15 feet. This ability lasts for 1 minute.

At the 11th level, this range increases to 30 feet.

Spike of Agony

Starting at the 6th level, when ever you take damage you can give back the pain you received. As a reaction, when you take damage from a creature within 10 feet of you, you can make an unarmed strike against them. The unarmed strike does piercing damage instead of bludgeoning, and deals extra damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

Flurry of Venom Petals

Starting at 6th level, you can sting your enemies and cause them to feel the venom that flows through your veins. When you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can force a creature to make a construction saving throw, and on a failed save they become poisoned for the next minute.

This ability can only be used once per long rest.

Garden of Isolation

Starting at the 11th level, you can cause the very earth around you to feel as thorny as you. You gain the ability to cause the ground beneath you to become tangled with thorns and rampant vines. As an action, you can spend 3 ki points and cause the area around you within a 15 foot radius to become difficult terrain for hostile creatures.

Petal Storm

Starting at the 17th level, you can cause a storm of rose petals to riot around you. As an action, you can spend 4 ki points and summon a blizzard of roses petal that expands out in a radius of 30 feet and gives these effects;

  • Creatures within the storm have disadvantage on attack rolls.
  • Any creature that enters the storm or starts their turn in the storm takes 3d6 piercing damage
  • Any creature that ends their turn in the storm is moved 5 feet away from you.

This ability can only be used once per long rest.
