Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Some are born into infernal lineages, and some dare taint their souls with the dark knowledge it takes to obtain this power, but those warriors who follow the Path of the Hellbringer are those who learn to unleash the wrath of the hells with their rage. This is a road of fury and flame, and the acts of death and destruction these barbarians are capable of is notable, even among other barbarians. Exploding with fire when hit, thrashing enemies with bursts of fire, and capable of fleet-footed dashes while raging, their only shortcoming is the power of divine radiance, which inhibits and slows them. At their greatest power, they gain demonic wings, and can move with terrifying speed as they assume a demonic semblance.

In Avalestra, the Hellmaw is a geographic feature of the Wastelands which literally teems with the infernal and horrifying creatures of the infernal realms. Some of the creatures refused to return to the pit after their defeat in the Diabolic Invasion, and they created small refuges for themselves, even establishing lineages by now. Some of these entities even trained some other beings (particularly Tieflings) and persons with their deranged skills, and as such, the first few members of this barbaric path emerged. While few in number, and sometimes even hunted by Empyrean humans, Sun Elves, and Mountain Dwarves as if they were demons themselves, the Path of the Hellbringer is still yet recognized as a type of barbaric warrior not to be underestimated, and often to be feared.

Infernal Rage

When you choose this Path at 3rd level, you learn to infuse your might with infernal strength when you are raging. When you enter a rage, you add fire damage to the weapon damage you deal with weapon attacks, your Rage bonus damage becomes fire damage, and you add one die of your weapon's damage as fire damage to successful critical hits. Also while raging, you can cast the Hellish Rebuke spell as if you were a 1st level Sorcerer, Constitution is your spellcasting ability for this spell, this spell cannot be targeted by Counterspell, and you can cast this spell a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus before you must finish a long rest to cast this spell this way again.

Hellfire Suffusion

At 6th level, you learn to harness the power of hellish flames more thoroughly, suffusing yourself with hellfire in a minor way which become more obvious as you rage. You gain resistance to fire damage. Additionally, while you are raging, you ignore the fire resistance of creatures you hit with your weapon attacks. If a creature you attack with a weapon attack has immunity to fire damage, you treat that creature as having resistance to fire damage instead, as the flames you utilize are hellfire and not merely common flames at this point, and may even now burn as violet, blue or green colored fire at your choosing.

Raging Inferno

At 10th level, you gain the ability to unleash a true fiery hell on your opponents as you emit a wreath of flames in an aura around you when you rage. When you enter a Rage, you can choose to emit an aura of hellfire in a 10 foot radius emanating from you. Creatures who start their turns in this aura take 2d6 + your Constitution bonus fire damage, and any time you choose to cast the Hellish Rebuke spell from your Infernal Rage feature, you cast that spell as if it was cast with a 3rd-level spell slot. These benefits last until your Rage ends.

Additionally, as a bonus action while you are raging, you can take the dash action and all movement you make on a solid surface in this turn leaves behind a path of fire in every square you leave. This fire burns until the end of your next turn and any creature that enters these squares for the first time on their turn must make a Dexterity saving throw or suffer 2d6 + your Constitution bonus fire damage, or half damage on a successful save. You may use this feature once before you must enter another rage to use it again.

Demonic Countenance

At 14th level, you become more thoroughly suffused with the power of the hells, and you can assume a terrifying demonic semblance when you enter a rage. When you enter a Rage, you manifest demonic wings which grant a fly speed equal to your speed, and your features distort in a horrifying way, granting you a +5 bonus to Charisma (Intimidation) checks. If you cast the Hellish Rebuke spell granted by your Infernal Rage feature, you may now choose to cast that spell as if it were cast with a 5th-level spell slot, or with a 7th-level spell slot if you choose to suffer a level of exhaustion immediately thereafter.
