Base Class: Monk
A whisper on the breeze drifts through the ebb and flow of the spring wind. A woman stands amidst the musings of nature, eyes closed, listening. In a swift motion, her hand whips through the air silently, moving deftly through the air current, and silences the hum. Such is the capabilities for disciples of the Way of Silence, followers of the powers of listening and thoughtfulness. Their excellence in quelling the noisy nature of the unnatural world has developed an unparalleled knack for interrupting those who wish to disrupt the peace, though they themselves may lack the voice to bring the change they desire. A monk leaves their vow of silence when they hear their calling to find a voice, in order to create change in the world. Leaving this monastic tradition is a big deal, perhaps allowing them to speak their first words in what may have been years.
Focused Palm
Your time spent honing your presence of mind has allowed you to realize the strength in wisdom. You may now use Wisdom for your attack and damage rolls, in place of Strength of Dexterity, when attacking with unarmed strikes or a monk weapon.
Quieting Blow
Your control over your mind has given you the ability to quell others. When you take the Flurry of Blows action, you may silence their ki. The target is then unable to speak. The target(s) may make a Constitution saving throw at the start of their next turn to end the silence, repeating the saving throw on consequent turns.
Eye of the Storm
Silence is simultaneously your greatest friend and your deadliest weapon. Your presence has become so deafening that it pulls the arcane ear, distracting even the most steadfast of spellcasters. Any attacks made with unarmed strikes or monk weapons now enforce disadvantage on Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration.
Warded Wisdom
Your years of living purely within your mind has honed it to the finest degree. You gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws.
Silent Pulse
Silence begets thought; thoughts beget protection. Your understanding of this allows you to protect others by quieting the castings of volatile creatures. As a reaction when someone within 30 feet of you casts a spell, you may spend any number of ki points to force the target to make a Constitution saving throw, with a DC equal to 8 + Wisdom modifier + number of ki points spent. On a failed save, the casting of the spell fails, and the spell slot is spent.
Deafening Resilience
Your ki has grown resistant to the ramblings of the ignorant, as arcane invasions fail to invade the fortress that is your mind. You gain advantage on all saving throws against spells.
Suppressing Presence
Your dedication has unlocked an aura of tranquility that calms the broken, empowers the weakened, quells the violent. All allies within 20 feet of you (including yourself) gain resistance to all damage from spells.
