Base Class: Fighter
In the modern era the archetypal Sportsman is a beacon of athletic prowess and represents an insurmountable resume full of feats of strength, speed and endurance. An athlete is one who competes in a contest but the Sportsman is one who wins the competition.
Bonus Proficiency
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Acrobatics and Athletics skills.

- Whenever you make an Dexterity (Acrobatics) check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of +1).
- Whenever you make an Strength (Athletics) check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of +1).
- Your walking speed increases by 5, and you gain a climbing speed or a swimming speed (your choice) equal to your walking speed.

You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.
Swimmer

Starting Position
Starting at 7th level, you are used to playing anyway your team needs you to for the win. When you roll initiative, you may enter one of the following positions, granting you a benefit, which lasts until the end of your first turn.
Block Start. You give yourself a bonus to the initiative roll equal to your Strength modifier.
Fastbreak. Your walking speed increases by 15 feet.
Guard Stance. You give yourself a bonus to your Armor Class equal to your Strength modifier.
Hard Hitter. If you take the Attack action on your first turn, and the attack hits, the target takes extra damage equal to your proficiency bonus of the weapon's damage type.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Historic Performance
At 10th level, your combative exploit garner quite the following.
If you have been in combat for at least 1 minute, you can attempt to impress and awe an audience. At the end of 1 minute, as an action, choose a number of humanoids within 60 feet of you who saw and heard the combat, up to a number equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of one). Each target must succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier) or be charmed by you. While charmed in this way, the target idolizes you, it speaks glowingly of you to anyone who talks to it, and it berates anyone who opposes you. This effect ends on a target after 1 day, if you attack it, or if it witnesses you attacking or damaging any of its allies.
If a target succeeds on its saving throw, the target admonishes you and becomes hostile, although it avoids violence unless it was already inclined to fight against you.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Clutch Surge
Starting at 15th level, you can ensure your success in the most dire of situations. When you use your Action Surge, you may also take an additional bonus action and reaction, in addition to the extra action.
When you gain the ability to use action surge twice, you may only use this feature on one surge and you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
Famed Competitor
Starting at 18th level, your name could commonly be known throughout the land for better or for worse. When you encounter a creature that would have heard your name, roll on the Famed Competitor Table below, which grants you benefits based on your roll for 1 hour.
