Base Class: Monk
Way of the Mage Slayer monks are rare and are typically used by armies to counter enemy spell casters or employed by small towns looking to fight off monsters that cant be harmed by conventional weapons. They serve as both protectors and assassins against magical threats and are respected for their unique ability to combine martial arts and magical power.
Arcane Flow
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can infuse arcane power into your monastic traditions. You gain the following options:
Eldritch Fists- When you use flurry of blows, your strikes are woven with ancient magic. You can spend an extra ki point to deal extra force damage equal to your martial arts die. This extra damage applies to every attack you make with flurry of blows this turn
Retaliating Defense- When you use patient defense you are ready to magically rebuke your foes. If a creature tries to make an attack and misses, you can use your reaction to spend 1 ki point and deal force damage equal to twice your martial die.
Arcane Propulsion- When you use the step of the wind, you can spend one extra ki point to blast off with an arcane explosion. At the start of your movement all creatures within 5 feet of you that you designate must make a constitution saving throw vs your ki save DC. On a failure, the target takes force damage equal to your wisdom modifier.
Magical Touch
At 6th level your hands become in tune with the magical weave. You can use deflect missiles to deflect spells that target you and can deal damage. If the spell's damage is reduced to 0, you can use the same reaction to cast the spell on one target with range. The spell uses your wisdom modifier for the attack roll. This does not apply to spells that require saving throws or have an area of effect.
Arcane Interruption
At 11th level, you learn to resist the flow of magic throughout the magical weave. You can spend 3 ki points to cast counterspell as a reaction or use 3 ki points to cast dispel magic as an action
Monastic Ward
At 17th level you have mastered the technique of bending the weave in order to shield yourself from destructive magic. You gain the following benefits:
You are resistant to damage from spells and other magical effects
When a spell forces you to make a saving throw, you can use 1 ki point per level of the spell to give yourself advantage on the saving throw.
