Base Class: Monk
"Set your soul aflame! The fire within us shall burn brighter than the sun itself! Scorch everything that is in your way to greatness!"
- The Mad Dog of Kiichi
Monks who have walked this path have strengthened their minds and bodies to the utmost limits, using the image of fire to guide the way through their training. As a result, they have learned how to vibrate ki to such a degree, that it becomes fire. With this fiery ki, monks of this path focus on dealing as much damage as possible; all while trying not to incinerate themselves in the process.
Flame Within
Starting when you choose this tradition at the 3rd level, you have learned how to harness fiery ki, allowing you to gain two fire-based cantrips; Produce Flame and Fire Bolt. Using these cantrips require you to burn yourself, making you lose 15 hit points and 1 ki point.
Soul Blaze
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your fiery ki to boost your destructive power during combat. Whenever you hit a creature with an attack granted by Flurry of Blows, you can perform one of the following actions, at the cost of 1 ki point. This must be chosen before the attack granted by Flurry of Blows connects (After a successful Hit roll).
- Soul Blaze - Snap Flurry: You can do 2 more unarmed strikes
- Soul Blaze - Firestarter: If both unarmed attacks connect, the targeted creature is set ablaze, taking 1d10 Fire damage every turn until the flame is put out
- Soul Blaze - Roaring Fist: The damage type of your unarmed strikes become Fire for the rest of the encounter
Whenever you activate Soul Blaze, you will take 2d6 Fire Damage. Using it more than 3 times in one encounter increases this damage to 2d10. Using it more than 5 times in one encounter increases this damage to 4d10.
Flash Counter
Starting when you reach 6th level, you can use your fiery ki to deny incoming attacks. When an enemy attempts to attack you with a melee attack, you can, as a reaction, spend a ki point to make a Dexterity saving throw. If you succeed the saving throw, you parry the attack and set the attacker ablaze, dealing 1d10 Fire damage for every turn until the fire is put out. On fail, you take the damage of the attack, and 2d4 Fire damage.
Shroud of the Fire God
Starting at the 11th level, you have learned how to envelop yourself with your fiery ki. Your unarmed strike damage typing is permanently switched to Fire.
Due to the heightened control of your fiery ki, Soul Blaze is replaced with Hinokami Blaze, a more powerful evolution.
Incarnation of Flames
At the 17th level, your control over fiery ki has become so advanced that you have nearly become one with the concept of fire. Once per short rest, as a bonus action, you can absorb all the heat from the environment in a 30 ft. radius around you. Enemies in this radius take 1d4 Cold damage, and you regain some of your lost ki points (the amount regained depends on how much you absorbed; discuss with your DM about this).
