Base Class: Monk
Sacrifice offensive capabilities for superior defense.
Spade
Starting at 3rd level whenever you spend an action to take the Dodge action, if a melee attack hits you can use a reaction to reduced the damage equal to your Monk level + Dexterity modifier + proficiency modifier. If the damage you take gets reduced to 0 you may make a opportunity attack. Any opportunity attacks that you hit with an unarmed strike while using Spade deal double damage.
You also gain an extra reaction at 3rd, 6th, 11th and 17th level while using this ability.
Sheath
Starting at 6th level you may now use Deflect Missles feature on ranged spell attacks and the thrown projectile range is increase to 60 feet. Furthermore, if a ranged attack roll is made to an ally with 5 feet of you, you may use an reaction to make yourself the target instead of that creature and use the Deflect Missles feature.
Pin
Starting at 11th level as a bonus action, you can spend 3 ki points to reduce your movement speed to 0 and gain the following benefits until the start of your next turn:
- You are immune to being knocked prone and cannot be forced to move.
- You have advantage on all saving throws. If you were to take half damage from a successful save you can use a reaction to instead take no damage.
Forfeit
At 17th level when you hit with a melee attack you can spend 4 ki points to delivery a crippling blow and make the target make a Constitution saving throw. If the target saves they take 4d12 force damage. On a failure they take 4 levels of exhaustion. If you use Forfeit again on a creature that has failed the save they instead take double damage from the next attack that hits them and are knocked prone.
