Base Class: Sorcerer
Your sorcerous powers came later in life, having already learned how to defend yourself in other ways. Instead of fully focusing on your sorcerous powers, you decided to merge the two. Thus you become one of many spellblades. People might confuse you with a bard from the college of swords, or a bladesinger wizard. You know the powers they wield, and yours is greater, far, far greater.
Teachings of the Blade
1st-level Spellblade feature
Your training before awakening had lead to you learning how to use the simplest of weapons. You gain proficiency in all simple weapons.
Spell Awakening
1st-level Spellblade feature
After taking the Attack Action with a melee weapon, you can use a bonus action to use the Quickened Spell Metamagic at no cost. While doing so, the spell you cast must not have an attack roll or saving throw applied to it. You can do so a number of times equal to 2 times your proficiency modifier per long rest.
Extra Attack
6th-level Spellblade feature
You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast one of your cantrips in place of one of those attacks.
Force of Will
14th-level Spellblade feature
You can add your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1) to the damage of your melee weapon attacks.
Evasion
18th-level spellblade feature
When you are subjected to an effect, such as a red dragon’s fiery breath or a lightning bolt spell, that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.
