College of Vocals

Bards that choose this college are not trained just trained in the form of instruments but have also learned that their voices can have an expediential impact on the people around them.

Vocal Warmup

When you join the College of Vocals at level 3, You are granted proficiency in Performance or Persuasion if you do not have them already. In addition, if you are already proficient in both, you may choose one to be granted expertise in either Performance or Persuasion (just one of the two) 

Also, your vocal cords are your source to cast spells

 In addition, once per short rest, you can use this ability for 1 minute to be able to get one more use of your bardic inspirations for 1 hour. 

Up and Down the Scales

Also, at level 3, you gain more uses of your bardic inspiration depending on if you go up or down the scales. 

Up Scale: You may spend one use of your bardic inspirations to climb up octaves to give a glimmer of hope in your ally's direction. If an ally creature is within 30ft of you and is getting hit with an attack or is forced to make a saving throw you may use your reaction to give them a use of your bardic inspiration (if they do not already have one) to add the bardic inspiration die to either the AC and or Saving Throw.

Down Scale: You may spend one of your bardic inspirations to work down octaves to distract an enemy. If an enemy creature is getting hit with an attack within 30ft of you, you may use your reaction to add a use of your bardic inspiration die to the damage of that attack.

Perfect Pitch

At 6th level, when you make an ability check that requires charisma, and you are proficient in the ability you can use a bardic inspiration to add to that check if you failed the check, potentially turning the failure into a success.

Additionally, when you are casting a spell that causes a target to either be charmed or frightened you can use a bardic inspiration die as a reaction to subtract the number rolled from their saving throw.

Humming Way

Also, at 6th level, Once per long rest, you can match pitch with different songs that you have heard in your past and have been able to make them blend. When you use this feature, as a action you can gain bardic inspirations back equal to your proficiency bonus. These uses go away after you finish a long rest.  

Live in Harmony

At 14th level, you know what key and pitch for all your songs, so much so that you can have "backup singers". As a bonus action, you can cast Mirror Image a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You get all uses back on a long rest.

 

In addition, if your images are destroyed during combat or by any other means such as a dispel magic. You would regain a use of your bardic inspiration if you were already not capped on them.
