Bard
Base Class: Bard

Some people tell stories about sailors who disappear at sea after hearing a beautiful voice. It’s only natural that bards at some point would try to recreate it. The College of Sirens is born from that recreation, rare to find among bards because of its unique style that mimics that of the mythical sirens of the sea. Their voices are smooth and seductive, and just like the sirens themselves, and they can lure people into following their voice.

These bards use their skills to put others into situations that they might otherwise avoid, one of the most famous of them being the pied piper. As a result, the College of Sirens, much like the College of Whispers, is disliked by other bards because of how it deceives people.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Sirens at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in navigator’s tools and water vehicles. You also gain proficiency in Performance and Persuasion if you don’t already have proficiency in them.

Siren's Call

Once per short rest, you may use your action to choose a number of humanoids up to your Charisma modifier that can hear you. They must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be Charmed by you for one minute. While charmed this way, they are not hostile towards you or your allies, and must use their action to move towards the sound of your voice. On subsequent turns, or if a target takes damage, they may reroll the Wisdom save to attempt to break free of the charm.

Sea Shanty

Beginning at 6th level, you gain the ability to invigorate those around you with your songs. As a bonus action you may expend one use of your bardic inspiration in order to grant a number of creatures up to your Charisma Modifier that you can see within 60 feet of you. Each creature gains 1d6 inspiration, and an additional 5 feet of movement speed for the next 30 seconds.

The additional movement speed increases to 10 feet at 10th level, and 15 feet at 15th level.

Sailor's Demise

Starting at 14th level, you can channel the power of a sirens song to bring about the doom of those you charm. You may now use your Siren's Call ability up to three times between long rests, and you regain one use on a short rest.

Your Siren’s Call ability can now affect any creature that isn’t undead or a construct, and creatures Charmed by it have disadvantage on their Wisdom saving throw to break free of the charm. Additionally, when you deal damage to someone Charmed by your Siren’s Call, it is doubled and they may not attempt to break free of the charm.
