Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your magic springs from a mystical link between your soul and the magic of elemental earth. You might trace a distant ancestor to the Plane of Earth, or your family might have earned a mighty boon in return for a service to the dao lords. Whatever your past, the magic of elemental earth is yours to command.

Stoneborn Magic

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Stoneborn Spells table. Each spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. These spells can’t be replaced when you gain a level in this class.

Stoneborn Spells

Sorcerer Level / Spells Known

1st / Catapult, Earth Tremor, Shillelagh

3rd / Earthbind, Spike Growth

5th / Erupting Earth, Meld Into Stone

7th / Stone Shape, Stoneskin

9th / Transmute Rock, Wall of Stone

In addition, consult the Manifestations of Stone table and choose or randomly determine a way your connection to elemental earth manifests while you are casting any of your sorcerer spells.

2 / Dirt and dust begins flaking off your shoulders.

3 / Small stones gravitate towards your body, forming horns or armor.

4 / Your eyes glow golden.

Earthen Resilience

At 1st level, your connection to stone gives you extra fortitude. Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.

In addition, your body is covered in protective stony growths. You gain a base AC of 13 + your Constitution modifier if you aren’t wearing armor.

Stone's Reinforcement

Beginning at 1st level, you can call the earth to reinforce your body, making you harder to strike down. As a bonus action on your turn, you can gather stones from the area to reinforce your body, gaining a bonus to your AC equal to your Proficiency Modifier for 1 minute.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Modifier, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Counterclasts

Starting at 6th level, your earthen defenses improve, heightening your durability and allowing you to retaliate against attackers with stony shrapnel.

While protected by your Stone's Reinforcement, you reduce any Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage you take by 2 + your Charisma modifier.

In addition, whenever a creature hits you with a melee attack while protected by your Stone's Reinforcement, you can use your Reaction to force the creature to make a Dexterity Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC. On a failed save, the creature takes 1d6 + your Charisma modifier Bludgeoning damage. This bludgeoning damage increases to 2d6 at 10th level.

You can use this Reaction a number of times equal to your Proficiency Modifier, after which you must either finish a Long Rest or spend 2 Sorcery Points to use it again.

Tectonic Pull

At 14th level, your connection to the earth grows, giving you an implacable advance and the strength to draw your foes towards you.

While protected by your Stone's Reinforcement, you ignore difficult terrain made of stone or upset earth.

In addition, when you hit a creature within 30 feet of you with a spell attack, you can spend 1 Sorcery Point to force that creature to make a Strength Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC. Huge or larger creatures have advantage on the save. On a failed save, the creature is moved up to 30 feet in a straight line towards you.

Might of the Mountain

At 18th level, you become an unstoppable force of nature.

When you use your Stone's Reinforcement feature, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Sorcerer Level + your Constitution modifier.

In addition, while your Stone's Reinforcement lasts, your melee attacks deal bonus Bludgeoning damage equal to your Constitution modifier, and you have advantage on Strength saving throws made to resist being pushed or knocked down.
